Jiska tumhe tha intezaar
Jiske liye dil tha beqaraar
Woh ghadi aa gayi aa gayi aaj ...
Hello aur Namaskar
All you avid gamers & film & music enthusiasts (& die-hard Sheep of course! )
Some of you may have played Season 1 of my Bollywood Retro Sheep game a while ago & enjoyed it (hopefully!)
Welcome to Season 2 of the Bollywood Retro Sheep Game!
This time we will be focusing on the years 1971 to 1990.
Yep, the years that have seen such groundbreaking movies such as Zanjeer, Sholay, Ankur, Bobby, Arjun and QSQT, just to name a few.
The 70s and 80s decades saw Bollywood go through some major changes and overhauls in terms of storywriting & storytelling.
The evolution of the soft & romantic heroes of the 50s & 60s to the daring & dashing angry young men, the coy & demure heroines to the bolder, savvy ones who knew what they wanted & weren't afraid to go after it.
The era of iconic villains, memorable character actors & wholesome comedians.
The era with some of the most quoted & celebrated dialogues ever.
And how can we forget the musical (r)evolution?
From the Western-influenced disco & techno & cabaret to staying rooted in traditional tunes, music directors & choreographers experimented with varied genres & gave us some of Bollywood's most unforgettable songs & dances.
Bollywood Retro Sheep Season 2 will cover all of this & more.
The game will have 5 rounds, each with a different theme, two of which will be multiple choice.
One round will be anti-sheep.
No knowledge of 70s and 80s Bollywood movies is required, Google baba is your friend.
However, if you're already an enthusiast, more power to you.
If not, you have a world of music & movies left to discover (which I'm sure you will by the end of this game!)
For those who have no clue what I'm talking about let's go over the R U L E S
You will be sent a link to a Google Form via PM, and you have to answer the questions in the most expected and the most common way.
You have to think like other members who are taking part in this contest and guess the answer.
Please remember that there is no right or wrong answer. If your answer is the most common one, you will win a point.
All answers will be awarded goals depending on how many people you share your answer with.
A point has more value than goals.
There will be five rounds, each round will have 10 questions.
You will be given two days to send in your answers.
There will be no eliminations.
However, if you don’t submit your answers in a round before the said deadline, you will not be sent the link to the google form for the next round.
Here is an example:
Question: Which vegetable is the worst tasting?
Three people say potato
Eight people say cabbage
Six people say broccoli
Ten people say spinach
The ten people who say ‘spinach’ will get 1 point and 10 goals.
And the others get no points but goals only, which depends on how many others gave the same answers. So ‘potato’ gets 3 goals, ‘cabbage’ wins 8 goals, ‘broccoli’ wins 6 goals, and so on.
If yours is a unique answer, not shared by anyone, you get 1 goal.
If there's a tie between two popular answers, then both get 0.5 points each.
If there's a tie between 3 or more answers, no points will be awarded, but only goals will be given.
If there is a tie between two people based on points, the one with the higher number of goals will have a higher ranking on the scoreboard.
Anti-sheep (as you must have guessed) is the opposite. The most unique answer gets a point. No goals will be awarded in this round. More details to come during the round.
The game will go on for about 10 days.
