Ok so i love experimenting in the kitchen and cooking international cuisine (though i eat less than other people would, i love to feed!š).
Ive been experimenting the best egg recipe for me and eventually ended up with this, thanks to mixture of experiments and tv!
EGG OMLETTE:
1-2 eggs, depending on how much you eat.
2-3 tablespoons of milk/cream
salt, pepper, red chilli flakes to taste
5 leaves of fresh basil - chopped
6-7 leaves of fresh chives - chopped
cheddar cheese cut into small cubes
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon butter
Procedure:
In a bowl, beat the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and chilli.
Get a frying pan and make warm. Add the olive oil and butter. Once heated on low heat, pour the egg mixture on top and start stirring immediately to get the parts that have started cooking to mix with the top part too. Do not do this too much though. Just do it in the very beginning while the egg can still spread out. after about 30 seconds of doing it, stop the stirring. Now do not turn the egg and cook it on the other side. cooking time depends on how you want the eggs, whether you like it a bit raw to the touch or really cooked.
Now add the fresh basil, chives and cheese to the top of the egg and then get half of the egg and use it as a flap to cover it.
Note that the omelette does not have to be perfect in looks. the best omelette's are the ones that do not look perfect. Be quick in the cooking of it.
Serve hot for breakfast with bread!
