Well, either rice or roti (or both) usually accompanies any kind of desi food. So my question is which one do you prefer more? Rice or Roti?

I know most of us will say both, but the key thing is *Prefer more.*

What if you could only have either or? What would you pick? Rice or roti?

I would say roti. but under the circumstances i'm in, i have rice more. lol. roti takes time in a way. rice takes time too but itz different i'd say. i mean the kind of time they both take. so that's why i make rice more than roti. but otherwise i always prefer roti more than rice. even when i wasn't under the circumstances i am in now, i prefered roti then too. though obviously both are alright but as u said which one do i prefer more, so roti :)
what about you?

Hey Sumra!

I'd go with rice any day! I just totally love rice, can't life with it. 😆

I'm OK with roti too, that's what's usually made at home because that's what everyone else prefers but I love rice!

kool. lol
well to be honest, roti, rice, pasta, noodles, i'm fine with all. i can't choose which is no. 1 n which ain't. but i know rice ain't no.1. i'd rather roti, pasta or noodles than rice. dunno y. lol but these days i wanna eat namak wale chawal (you know what i mean na?) n some roti too!! coz haven't had them in ages!! n itz been over 5 weeks since i last ate roti. never had i not eaten roti for that long before. i can't find the time to make a single roti. so whenever i make salan, i'd have rice with it or bread or smth. :)

Oh I see, wow that's too long for not having had a roti.... I'd definitely be craving for even roti if I hadn't had it for that long.

Yeah well I too like Rice and Noodles and pasta but roti is not on the top of the list. I'd rather have rice or pasta kind of thing. I'm not that much into desi food. Maybe that's why.

Oh, yeah I actually really want to eat biryani. :)

Oh lucky you! I wish I was like that. I love Chinese food but in desi I like only chicken and some lentils but overall not a big fan that's why I don't like roti very much.

That's very true.

No, I live in the US actually. And there aren't very many desi restaurants around. In fact to get good desi food we have to drive an hour or so.

hmm. well i used to live in HK, there weren't so many desi restaurants. and because we r muslims then obviously we'd want a place where they do halal food. so yea there just used to be one where we used to go. n we'd go as a big family. the whole family together (my family n my cousin's family) n it'd take an hour to get there.
but as time went by, there were new restaurants made. now still there ain't so many but there are quite a few n they r not so far off now. some are. some aren't.
i live in uk now. (came here for studies but my family is still in hk. lol i dun have to add that i know but oh well :) ) n there are asian takeaways everywhere. so i can understand y somebody might love desi food so much. i can also understand y they'd not be so fond of dei food (coz they see it everywhere, have it almost all the time, so def. these r the kind of ppl who must have gone sick of desi food. lol)
but in hk, my family n i, well we go everywhere. like pizza hut, italian restaurants. thai restaurants. chinese. malay. portugese. etc so we have diff. food all the time whenever we go out, so that's y i dun have any particular fav. cuisine but i love certain food from certain cuisines :) n also at home, we do cook desi food most of the time but sometimes, we'd mix clash desi cuisine with otehr cuisines n smtimes make sm food from other cusines. :)
