Meaning to stop
She reached the pinnacle without much trying. Whats to be unhappy about?
He is a gentlemen through and through. He did not make her feel bad in any way.
Hope she will realize she has nothing to be embarrassed about. If anything, it was a good thing. They have good chemistry.

Sunday was the 15th death anniversary. Punky was too busy to think about what she had done. She had never envisioned having casual s—with a stranger, the day her parents died. But she had boldly chosen a personal pleasure activity. Sulu had given her a ton of advice when she woke up late Saturday evening in Sulu’s apartment
“This is all just so ridiculous. Don’t read too much into it. You are entitled to live your life. Main kehti hai, tup hir se kisi aur ko choose kar le and take it slow”
“No stop… no… I cant do this right away”
“Parwa nahi, tu mahina le le, tu free se kuch bhi kar”
“You know what, when he was kissing me I was thinking about the shraadh I felt cringe”
“Item!!” Sulu shook her head
“I mean I would have been married with two kids by now”
“Wohi to” “If you don’t look out, Punky tera life aisa hi jaane ka hai re”
“No don’t say that”
“I mean tu soch, abhi aur kitna wait karegi?”
“I want to get married not just have casual s—”
“But just try it for 6 months, who knows maybe?”
“Tinder waale se kar lu?”
“Believe it or not Bumble Hinge etc show 30%? Or 40% people end up married”
“Wont happen with me” Punky tied her hair, washed her face and headed out
“Just forget this guy, who knows he could be a professional s—worker na?”
“Can you believe how wrong that sounds?”
“I am not saying mean things about such people I am just saying, he was smooth because he could be that”
“I am glad I made it out alive”
“Fool! Nobody kills people on dating apps”
“Abhi to I am taking a break”
“Good, go, I will come at night, hubby bhi aayega, we will stay the night and return tomorrow night”
Punky nodded tearfully
“I mean why did I have to lose my parents?”
“Tch tch tch” Sulu hugged her
“I am tired of being a grown up sometimes Sulu”
“I AM TOO”
“Dikhta hai mere ko”Punky winked
“Sahi mein” Sulu clanked the dishes noisily into the sink

Sunday night she received a text from her Principal, the 6th grade math teacher Mrs Deepti Phule’s Dad had passed away, and she was going back to her hometown for amonth.
Punky taught 7th grade… she questioned why she was being texted
Principal Mr Sarwani.. told her they were short of teachers already with two being on maternity, and one substitute not prepapred to be around for the whole 6 months of her contract
“I can do one more class Mr Sarwani” “Bas ek period karegi main”. The school offered in-home after school tuition as well, and Punky was already signed up to teach two kids 2 days a week between 5-7 PM
After an hour long phone call, she was talked into taking the 6th grade Math class, and take on a Kunal Deshmukh on Mondays 6-7 PM
Mr Sathe promised she will be paid double overtime
She is backing away from the dating scenario because of this? Nothing wrong happened.
That kid she will be tutoring, isn't that his nephew? When destiny wills, no one can evade.

I just saw an reel in Instagram of a Tamil girl wearing a saree roaming in Paris ... It reminded me of II ...the Kohl eyes , jhumka, saree, nose ring and all ....the only thing missing was long hair ..she had hair upto shoulders ... Seeing that metro train and other places I kinda just remembered her....
Thought of sharing with you'll ...

PS I mentioned it in her reel that she reminded me of a tamil fictional character named Ishita Iyer from software symphonies written by Nisha...
PSS if someone comments on that il let you'll know
Math Teacher & Kunal
Mr Sathe the Accountant promised extra money, and promised she will be able to take two weeks off during the school year itself, when they are able to fill the vacancies.
Punky was not hopeful at all about that. She loved summer, but many times the school was unable to fulfill any of the promises they had made to her, she was in her 7th year of teaching. Prateek had gotten into trouble at his school, causing her to quit her corporate job and pursue teaching after quickly getting herself a B.Ed. She wanted to spend summer with her siblings and Ajji, take them places and hang out with them. The house was independent, in the older town of Pune.
She was a workhorse, she could fix broken windows, appliances and plumbing. But there was only so many hours in a day. She loved to care for herself, she loved getting her nails done, getting different style of hair, facials, you name it, she was a sucker. She believed grooming was extremely important for women. She was one of the most elegant fashionable teachers on campus. She loved taking her family on vacations, she tried to go atleast 3 places a year, the next trip she wanted to take them overseas. They had never been… even to Dubai or Singapore
Her salary wasn’t enough to afford that lifestyle, she took on summer jobs, at home tuitions, exam time special classes and every type of additional penny she could squeeze out of the system.
She was getting her nails done, she stared down at the salon worker as she flipped through pictures of Dubai
She was itching to go
She texted Mr Sathe…” Sir I can do it if the Deshmukhs double my fee”
“You mean Rs. 10,000 for a month?”
“Yes sir, ek to Math hai, oopar se mujhe ghar se nikalke jaana hoyega, traffic…”
Punky was pushing it. She knew Mr Sathe might not agree at all.
She waited on the line…
He grumbled he would check with the “coaching office manager” and get back to her
She hung up flippantly
She was relying on this steady stream of extra income for a few years now.
The next morning her phone rang it was Mr Sathe
“They can only do Rs.8,000”
“Then I can only do class two days a week not three, and no Saturday class Mr Sathe”
“You are smart teacher, you work well with kids, we want you to go help students”
“I have a family too, I am raising my siblings sir”
“Maloom hai mere ku”
“To phir kaise”
“OK chalo” Mr Sathe agreed grudgingly
“Aapka shaadi hua to school ko bada loss hoyega”
“Umm… uski koi tension nahi Mr Sathe” she laughed and hung up
She told Ajji she cannot pick up Prajakta after singing lessons on Tuesday due to taking on Deepti Phule coaching student
Deshmukhs lived in Shivaji Nagar, she took a cab after work on Tuesday and headed to the kid’s house.
She was irritated a bit, the money was good but this was going to be painful, she realized. The society was lush and old, the apartments with large balconies and only 5 floors tall
There was a guard boorth at the gate, there was a tennis court etc.
She was supposed to meet the mother of the child, Mr Sathe and the Principal were supposed to WhatsApp video call
She rang the doorbell, a skinny young boy opened the door, his hair came down over his eyes
He recognized her from school and smiled and quickly became grim
“Kunaal” she smiled
Ruffling his hair
The face seemed strangely familiar, she didn’t know why, she knew the kid was from her school
But he seemed very familiar
“Suhasini Deshmukh” She smiled shaking her hand, the mother arrived 20 minutes later
“Pankaja Vyas”
“Maam ka nick name hai”
“Haan tumhaare liye nahi hai” she cut the boy off with a smile
“Sorry haa? Mera brother in law ekdum waste hai, he was supposed to be home”
“We can only talk to parents”
“Haa but I had work, I spoke to Mr Sathe… but that’s OK I was able to come”
“But we only have 30 minutes” Punky insisted
“Its OK u start in living room only”
The smart ass kid started with “You name is Punky no?”
“No its not” she smiled through grit teeth
This was going to be looooooooong and painful
