Mohabbat phir ho jayegi..Love will happen again..Part 1

I dedicate this FF to my friend Varsha (vtomar77) who wants a PrabhAntha FF on Arranged marriage.Through this FF I am also trying to give a happy ending to the story in the music video 'Mohabbat phir ho jayegi'.

A party was going on to celebrate the succees of a project.

Jai took up a glass of wine and sipped it.

Jai:Today is the happiest day of my life.My dream project has been completed successfully.

Everyone smiled.

Jai's parents Deva and Latha were proud of their son.Jai's brother Raj was very happy for his brother.

After the party....

Latha caressed Jai's head lovingly.

Latha:I am very happy for you.But as a mother I will be completely happy only if you get married.

Jai blushed.

Latha:Do you have anyone in your mind?

Jai:No mom.

Latha:Then can I start looking for a girl?

Jai blushed:Sure mom.

Latha and Deva smiled.

Jai:But I will marry the girl only if I like her.

Latha:We will conduct the wedding only if you like the girl.

Jai smiled.

Jai:Mom,are you not finding any girl for Raj?

Raj:Leave me.I am not interested in arranged marriage.I will go for love marriage.Arranged marriage is so boring.

Jai:Why Raj?Arranged marriage is more peaceful.If it's love marriage there is a lot of tensions..whether the marriage will happen or not will give us tension.

Raj:But that tension has a lovely feeling of love.

Jai:O really?But I don't want that feeling.

Deva:Ok...Let Jai do arranged marriage and Raj do love marriage.No issues.

Latha:Yes.We don't have to spend time on looking for a girl for Raj.Time is saved.

They laughed.

A bakery shop inauguration is going on.

One girl was looking very happy.She was clapping hands.

She was none other than Amrutha.

"Amrutha"

Somebody called her.She woke up from the bed.

Her mother Anuradha only called her.

Amrutha:Mom,why did you call me?My dream got broken because of you.

Anuradha:Every day you see the same dream of opening a bakery of your own.

Amrutha:One day that will b real.

Anuradha:I also want it to be real.But I can't wait that long.So before that we will find a boy for you and get you married.

Amrutha:Mom!Why are you in a hurry to get me married?

Anuradha:It's every parent's wish to see their daughter getting married.Your parents also want it.

Amrutha's father Sunil came hearing it.

Sunil:I agree with Anu.Please agree to get married Amrutha.

Amruthra pouted:Ok.

Anuradha and Sunil smiled happily.

Anrutha:But the boy should be very handsome like a film star.

Anuradha and Sunil laughed.

Sunil:Done.

Anuradha:Foolish girl!Character is more important.

Amrutha:I agree.But the boy should be a nice man with looks.That's it.

Anuradha:Hmmm...

Amrutha just smiled.

After a month...

Anuradha was dressing up Amrutha as the boy's family was coming to meet her for the marriage alliance.

Anuradha attached hair extension to her hair.

Amritha:What is this mom?Why this hair extension?

Anuradha:Boys like long haired girls.

Amrutha:So to impress the boy who made me wear the hair extension.But after marriage anyway he will know that it's hair extension.What about that?

Anuradha:Tell him that you cut your hair.

Amrutha:How ridiculous mom!

Anuradha:Keep quiet and dress up according to me.When he talks to you,talk to him like I say.If the boy is traditional you should talk to him like I say.

Amrutha:Oh no...

Sunil came.

Sunil:The boy is well educated.Who told you that he is very traditional?

Anuradha:Educated or not most of the boys choose traditional girls when it comes to marriage.

Before Sunil and Amrutha could react the boy's car landed up there.

They were none other than Jai and family.

Sunil-Anuradha welcomed them.

Amrutha came with snacks and tea.Jai looked at her shyly.Slowly she looked at him nervously.

Seeing her Jai's family smiled.

Jai and Amrutha were sent to another room to talk.

Amrutha noticed that Jai has worn a dhoti,Suddenly Jai noticed Amrutha's long hair.

Jai:You have a very long hair.

Amrutha thought:Oh!So mom is right.He is a typical traditional guy who likes to wear dhoti and likes women with long hair.I have to talk like what my mom advised me to .

Amrutha:Yes.I love long hair.I oil and shampoo my hair daily.

Jai:How much time do you take to comb this long hair?

Amrutha:May be 2 hours.

Jai was shocked:2 hours?

Amrutha thought:I hope my answer is correct.

Jai noticed the silk saree she is wearing.

Jai:Guess you like sarees more.

Amrutha thought:Typical traditional guy who likes to see women in sarees.

Amrutha:Yes.I like only sarees.I wear only sarees.I don't like modern sarees.I like only traditional silk sarees.

Jai was stunned.

Jai:You like only sarees and you wear only sarees.That means you wear such silk sarees for 24 hours?

Amrutha:Yes.

Jai was shocked.

Jai:We forgot to introduce ourselves to each other.Hi...I am Jai.

He extended his hand for a shake hand.

She thought:Like mom said he is trying to test whether I am modern or traditional by trying to shake my hands.

She folded her hands and said:Namasthe!

He became embarrassed and withdrew her hands.

Jai:Namasthe!Let us go back.

Amrutha:Ok.

They both go to the drawing room and gave a fake smile to their parents.

Deva asked Jai:Finished talking?What's your opinion?

Jai was silent.So Latha found something fishy.

Latha:Thanks to all of you.Let us go back.We will inform you all after 2 days.

Sunil and Anuradha smiled:Ok.

They reached home.

Deva:Latha...why were you in a hurry to return home?

Latha did not reply.

Latha:Jai,what do you say about Amrutha?

Jai:I don't want to marry Amrutha.

All were shocked.

Latha:When i saw Jai not responding itself I had a doubt.I was worried whether he will say that frankly there.That's why I said that we will go back home.

Deva:Oh!Why did'nt you like Amrutha?

Jai:She is not my type.She has long hair.So she will have hair fall and even in the food she cooks there will be hair.She takes 2 hours to comb her hair.Then when will she spend time with me?She wears silk sarees 24 hours.I can't even imagine.

Deva and Latha laughed.

Latha:For such a silly thing you are reacting like this?Hair and dressing are simple issues.

Jai:I don't know.I can't imagine living with a girl like Amrutha for life long.

Latha:Don't take a hasty decision.Think well.Who knows whether your opinion will change tomorrow?

Jai:Tomorrow?Never!Tell them that I am not interested.

Latha:Anyways I will call them only after 2 days.I can't take a hasty decision.

Jai:Oh no...

Raj:This is why I told you to have love marriage.So we can marry the girl of our choice.

Jai:Wrong.We can select a girl of our choice.But there is no guarantee that we will be able to marry the girl we love.Then heart break and pain.I can't undergo it.So I want only arranged marriage.

Raj:Ok fine.

The next day...

Jai was driving the car. Suddenly he saw something on the right side of the road..He was shocked.He stopped the car.

I loved the bonding between Deva, Latha, Raj & Jai.

Deva & Latha are cool couples who left the marriages of their choice.

Jai wants to marry according to his parent's choice, while Raj intends to marry his choice.

Amrutha has a dream of opening her bakery & is trying to save money.

Anrutha agreed to marry on the insistence of her parents.

I guess it is Jai's family who came to see her.

In part 2, it seems that Anu is so desperate to get Amrutha married, for which she dressed her hair with an extension & made her wear traditional silk sarees to impress the guy. The conversation between Jai & Amrutha didn't seem natural as I feel that she doesn't have to say that she likes long hair. Had she been the way she is, the outcome might have been different. Latha's questions on Jai rejecting Amrutha were valid as looks & dress sense should not be the criteria. The nok jhok between Jai & Raj on arranged marriage vs. love marriage was cute. It reminded me of the common debate in schools & group discussion interviews.

I guess Jay saw Amrutha in a different dress made him stop the car.

Thanks a lot.Amrutha doesn't want to take financial help from her parents.So her parents realized that if they wait for her bakery to be possible her marriage will get delayed.So they want her to get married now.
