Mrinalini, First, create a book with your first thread, and then click on ' Migrate From Another Topic", select your story thread from the dropdown, if it appears there, and then migrate next thread.Originally posted by: minakrish
Hey Madhu, it's not clear how to migrate chapters from multiple threads of an FF to one book.
Do I first migrate the chapters from the first thread and then click on "Migrate from another Topic"?
When you click on Migrate from Another Topic, it has to show your added chapters' next thread's link in the drop-down menu, if it is there, then you can proceed further, but remember one thing: there is a possibility that it may post as another book instead of adding it to the first book. It has to show your other works, links of the FF in that forum like this---
Most of the time it fails because of tech glitch, and another reason for failing to add next thread to the first one is -- many authors add other threads with different names/ titles, that is also one of the main reasons for this glitch/ failure. Then it won't show the link, if we try to add, it posts as a separate book.
Try to migrate the next thread, if it works, fine, otherwise, delete the next chapter book, and give forum links of the consecutive thread links in first book for the time being. When the glitch rectifies, you'll be able to add other threads without any trouble.
Or, if it appears as a separate book, then add the next book link in the first one and note it as "title... #2".
At present, we have these options. If you need further guidance, we are here to help you.
