So since I am visiting after a LOOONG time, here are my combined comments!
So Rukmini and Sunanda! What a lovely conversation between the Guru and the Jeevan who wants to meet with the Lord! (Just a doubt, where exactly does the name Sunanda appear?) And then the Guru makes his journey to the Abode of the Lord, where he agrees! How nice!
(I wish you followed Bhagavatam more, but no matter, this is nice too!)
And then Krsna comes. All the way from Dwaraka to Kundinapura. I like the conversations between Rukmini and Krsna, especially the last one, when he tells her to order him. And finally, Baldau reaches the scene and makes peace between Rukmi and Krsna! And thus, Alokaye Rukmini Kalyana Gopalam!
And then enter Satrajit, with his Syamanta mani and his arrogance!
I like the portrayal of the whole Jambavan confrontation scene. When Lord Rama speaks, it is just so serene and calm! Even though the fight has just finished! Very nice. (On a side note, there is a side story of Goddess Chandrabhaga, the City Deity, who assures the citizens of Dwaraka that Krsna will return safe.)
And then Krsna returns with a gem and a gem of a bride! And gets married to another gem of a woman (Bhama-mani)!
Thus, Syamanta samaneelamaya kachita!
And we are back to Hastinapura! Where Duryodhana's plans are about to fail, with Vidura's clever password! The only thing that troubles me is that poor Nishada woman and her sons. So no comments about them.
And our Krsna comes into the Elephant's City, and joins in the 'mourning'. Enjoyed the conversations😆. Best of all was the boat🤣
And then like a real-life shocker, comes Satrajit's passing away. And then the interrogation of the guards, and the discovery of the murderers...
I prefer your version of Krsna and Akrura conversation to the Bhagavatam... though there Akrura shifts to Kashi in fear of Krsna!
Hopefully, in the Leelas, the secret behind Akrura's deed will be revealed.
And from there, we shift base to Hidimbavana! Where we see the sequel of Shurpanakha, though this time the odds are in her favour! But the sequel of Khara Dushana (Hidimba) suffers the same fate!
Ah. The Krishna reference. Beautifully captured.
And finally, one of the saviours of the epic is born. Ghatotkacha.
Continued in next post.
