She has realized now that she too likes him...

How could he leave her and be so aloof?

I beg to differ with Geet's monologue, is it Geet's fault that Maan did not listen to the complete 'eavesdropping' conversation of hers and Channis? Should he have not clarified the same with her, especially knowing that she is not aware of his 'eavesdropping' (smack him on his butt for eavesdropping LOL)? How could she consider her future with him, if the present lies with misunderstandings? I do not agree with his words 'served her right', knowingly that she has solemnly taken care of the house and his 'basic' needs! As the title goes 'the life in the palm of her hand', and I would like to add, 'their hands', cause you know what they say, it takes two to tango...

One more update ! And a fabulous one !
Love the kind of unique situations you whip up. The water clogging in the drain, the cigaretter smoking, Maan's unsuccessful effort at breakfast, Channi's heartbreak from the heartless but "maybe normal" guy and Maan staying in roadside inn...The emotions in all these situations - the close ones and the far away ones - seem so close to a reader.Your story is like hot tea and pakodas on a rainy day π - donno why, have loved the rainy season in terms of weather and emotions thats existent in your story πHasini, want to say so much more... but cant find the right words - thats always my problem while commenting for writers whom I love
Well coming from a reader's interpertation only now Geet has realised what he must be feeling.

What is it about your stories Hasini? I don't want this to end either. I agree with the previous comments about the rainy environment settings. Just love that.Ironic that both sisters had feelings for their guys in the same fields and look at the difference in the outcomes.
