The shoot at Bandra Bandstand for the film 100 per cent was turning out to be like any other mundane and hectic day. That is until things really got out of hand when Bobby Darling, who stars in the film, was mistaken to be a prostitute and picked up by strangers.
"It was a late night shoot," says Bobby. Since Bobby is essaying the character of a prostitute, he was dressed in a shimmering bright red top and pants, with high stilettos and a long blonde wig. "I was informed by the director that a car with two men would approach me. One of the men was supposed to be a Sardar," he adds. Just as planned, "the car with two men approached me," he says. But, it was the wrong car. Well, the events that followed are not going to be forgotten by Bobby in a hurry. "The men stared at me and asked me to get into the car, an instruction I followed. I thought these were the character artists. One of the men came close to me and asked me out for dinner. Suddenly, I remembered one of them was supposed to a Sardar," says Bobby. Once the enormity of the situation sunk in, Bobby screamed till hoarse. Following the call of help, a worried production team came running towards him.
No serious harm was done, instead it provided comic respite to the other co-stars, Irfaan Khan, Mahima Chaudhary and Payal Rohatgi who burst out laughing. The moral of the story, "I'll never dress up gaudily...," giggles Bobby.
