Wow!! Lots of events in today's episode and loads of discussion here. Both are a good sign
Starting with the episode which I finished super fast btw.
While I don't mind Sid-Tanisha's story; their scenes lacked warmth. Sid and the writers both missed an opportunity to start their story fresh. No matter how manipulative Sid is; his love/obsession for Tanisha is real. Which didn't come through at all. I mostly FFed that scene.
Tanisha's continued crying and self pity scenes have overstayed their welcome. It ate up too much screen time in the last 2-3 episodes. Can she please go on a cruise tour or something to get over it (assuming she is genuinely repenting)? Let Ayaan-Faltu solve their matter themselves
I mostly fast forwarded Daddy and mommy mittal's scene; for my own mental sanity. Ayaan's dad was barking like crazy while his mom - let's just say she has hit the bottom of the barrel. I heard 1-2 lines from her and she is Pathetic. At least Dadi tried to put some sense into her, but I don't think it made any difference.
I also liked Sid's mom giving cautionary advice to her son about Tanisha. That was my exact thought yesterday, that after Tanisha's truth reveal shouldn't Sid and his mom be vary of her. I also like Sid's counter that he and Tanisha are the same in a way. Which makes them a perfect pair. But I still stand by my take on Sid and Tanisha's scene. It was dull and boring.
Faltu's scenes with his new set of friends were good. I was relieved to know that she is still determined to pursue her cricket dream. Her plan to run away from Ayaan was very silly though, if he could easily trace her friend's phone number. I feel Ayaan suddenly got up from his pity party and realized that; only feelings and tears are not enough to win his girl; she needs real drama. So he chose bollywood movie's proven formula - emotional blackmail!! Dude says he is not planning to jump and then picks a terrace with no wall and keeps moving backward. Was he planning to pull a Spiderman With this rate we will see Faltu's confession tomorrow and Tanisha's big sacrifice and their wedding planning in the coming days!! I for one am not amused. I was hoping for more organic progression in their story. But I guess, since the makers kept the leads apart for too long, now they are trying to invest in their love story. Will see how it plays out.
One thing I was happy about was that Ayaan was not with his family or Tanisha and no one was guilt tripping him. He was solely focused on bringing Faltu back. Which was refreshing.
Sidebar - I have watched the initial few episodes of Faltu and I totally loved the part shot in Faltu's village. If they take the story back to the village for a while, it will be a welcome change. Plus we will get to meet our beloved Puppy there
