Talented actress Achint Kaur popular for her portrayal of Mandira in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi is all set to make a comeback with zee TV's Jhansi Ki Rani.
Kaur who was apparently last seen in Zee TV's Ranbir Rano that ended in May, 2009 went off radar for the past one year and a half. She apparently didn't make any appearance on TV post Ranbir Rano. She has yet again chosen Zee TV to announce her comeback. Achint will essay a cameo but pivotal role in Jhansi Ki Rani. She will play Queen of Orchha in the show who will fight against Rani Lakshmi bai in the show. The two kingdoms - Jhansi and Orchha had severed their ties. The show will take a leap of three years in tonight's episode and the story will focus on the happenings of 1857.
Informs our source, "Achint Kaur will play the pivotal character of renowned Queen of Orchha who is at the loggerheads with the ruler of Jhansi. She will fight against Rani Lakshmi bai on the show. The show will take a leap of three years and the story will move ahead from 1854 to the year of 1857, when the deciding battle took place between Jhansi ki rani and the British."
Confirming the news, Achint said, "Yes, I am doing the show and will start shooting very soon. I don't segregate shows and choose them according to their genres. For me the character has to be interesting and challenging. If I feel that the character is good, I take it up without paying attention to the genre the show belongs to."
With Achint on-board, the show definitely looks forward to a royal end.
