To be frank I was surprised when I watched epi 9 and 10. Reason a 1960 book was dealing with topics which were far ahead of its time. Let me go through each
First the discussion of inter caste marriage between chander and shukla. It was a beauty where Chander tells if more marriages are breaking that means change is around the corner. How true and apt even in current situation where we see divorces are becoming common.
And then Chander telling people have to remove caste system from society and Dr Shukla explaining with the example of milk and tea how certain things simply cant be alientated from the system.

Then of course Dr Shukla allowing his daughter to travel to Kashmir with her student batch. Really I was surprised as today also girls are not allowed that much freedom where we say we have progressed as a society.

Third and the last part convo of Chander and Pammi where Chander says he wants to remain within the boundary and Pammi says she loves breaking the boundaries. I felt those lines to be prophetic as Chander is going to break the boundaries and I am looking forward what makes him do so.

@shruthiravi, wondeful analysis of epi 9 and 10. Disclaimer:My views on a part of Friday's epi. Friday October 2nd episode -
Chandar's question while conversing with Pammi on the snow-filled surrounding at the Kashmir site "Why do we realize the true value of our life only when we come across other's sorrow?" and Pammi's answer "Everyone has their own experience, some people recollcct their easy lifestlyle when they get to know about other's problems, whereas there are some who remember the problems they faced in life."
Honestly, I can't fathom why can't humans ingrain the moral fibers of caring from birth for most of us from eons ago and still present in today's era and I don't see change in the current Y generation but more of the selfishness and throw-away kind of attitude. Sad is all I can say, because we are all that we have close ones and even those we don't know but yet we all have the same kind of emotions and feelings.
How apt these dialogues are to our own life experiences. Pammi's character relatable to how she is living her life on her own terms now. Frank while speaking her mind but her sadness is shown through in her emotions of living the life she feels she was compelled to live. Alex

@alex the beauty of Pammi's character is that she is realistic. I wont call her a vamp. But she is a girl who had feelings for Chander and trying to express it openly. I don't find any fault in it because from Pammi's POV at that point Chander is a bachelor and she is single too.
Though we see a grey shade in her when coming to Chander her concern for the victims is so real. She too work hard in the camp. She has bitterness in her, but then that pain she is keeping to herself than trying to spread it in others.
I really loved the way she takes care of her mentally unbalanced brother too. And each of Pammi's words are actually relevant in today's world also.
