Ganga is a poor flower seller girl of Rishikesh. She makes her living by picking flowers and selling them at the Shiva temple, which is located at the foothills of the Ganges. Ganga, an orphan, is the eldest of her siblings supports her little brother and sister. It is not easy for her to make a living, but being a staunch devotee of Lord Shiva. Ganga believes, that her Lord will always take care of her.
It was a typical day in Ganga's life, that day, when she was again threatened by her landlord to evacuate her shack, and the lecherous son of the landlord had given her yet another indecent proposal. But Ganga, being the way she is never accepted defeat She kept her head held high and decided to fight her fate, and as a ritual make her offering to her Lord. As she did this, in the river Ganges, something touched her hand, and to her horror, it was the hand of a drowning body. She saves this body, not knowing the person's identity, background, and despite facing the wrath of the villagers she gets this person home.
Ganga ultimately finds out about this boy's family, and informs them about him. Little does she know that this boy is Manav, the inheritor of the of a huge business empire based in Udaipur.
Manav's family arrives in this quaint village, and all wait for Manav to get conscious, and recognize his family….. Manav does, but only recognizes Ganga who has saved him and not his family. He clings to Ganga, and refuses to go back to Rajasthan. They try to forcefully take him while he is unconscious, but as fate would have it, Manav gains consciousness on the way, and forces them to come back to Ganga's house.
At this point, Manav's family has no other alternative but to try and convince Ganga to accompany them to Rajasthan for Manav's sake, but Ganga out rightly refuses. Meanwhile the villagers are up in arms against the presence of Manav's family in Ganga's house. They also take objection, to the family's intention of taking their village girl with them to the city. At this point it is the landlords lecherous son Madan, who always wanted to marry Ganga, kidnaps Ganga, and forces her to marry him. Manav saves Ganga, but when provoked, and questioned about his relationship with Ganga, he impulsively marries her in front of the entire village.
Ganga is resistant and reluctant to this relationship, but finally accepts it and steps into Manav's palace in Udaipur. When she arrives there, she realizes that something is amiss, about Manav's past…. On one hand develops a beautiful and pure love story of Ganga and Manav, but on the other hand, Ganga, whose endeavor is to make Manav remember his past, realizes that there are too many skeletons hidden in Manav's past. His family members do not want him to remember that fatal night in which he met with an accident and lost his memory …. But there is one person in that family who wants him to. But why? What happened that fatal night? If Manav will remember, will it affect his present? What is that unspoken secret about Manav in the family?
