ELAS Update: August 13, 2007

• Anu closes the door behind Nikhil. Dhruv comes behind Anu, and asks her if she's okay, and what happened. Anu tells him that her ex-husband just came, and it'd be better if he didn't ask her him, as he saw Abhinav's body, and he is the reason her father died.
• Anu asks Dhruv how her mother is, and Dhruv is hesitant to tell her. She asks him again, and Dhruv talks slowly, trying to put words together. He tells her that after seeing Abhinav's dead body, Meera went into deep shock. He hesitates to continue, and Anu tells him to please tell her what happened.
• Dhruv finally tells her that due to the deep shock, Meera is in coma. Anu is in shock.
• In the bedroom, Amma is sitting next to Meera, who is laying in bed, in coma. Anu comes in and sees her mother there, and goes by the bed side and begins to cry. Dhruv comes in and sees her. Anu kneels down next to the bed and begins to sob.
• At the funeral, everyone is ready to do the honors (Antham Sanskar) The pandit there, asks who will do the honors. Dhruv tells Anu that if she wants him to, he'll do it.
• Anu stops him and tells him that she will be the one to do the honors. The pandit tells her that she's the daughter, and daughters don't do the honors. Anu tells him that her father treated her both as a daughter and a son, and she had to help out the house in a son's position, and this responsibility isn't different, and that she will be the ones to do the honors. The pandit says nothing, and lets her.
• Anu puts her hand on her fathers head, and the funeral services start, and Anu does her responsibility.
• While this is happening, Laila appears with a smirk on her face, and behind the crowd, Nikhil is standing there, watching Anu do her job.
• After the flames appear, everyone is standing there watching, and Dhruv goes up to Anu, and puts his hands on her shoulders. She looks at him, and Laila is shown smirking, as she saw Nikhil watching this. Nikhil is watching this scene in confusion.
• Nikhil is in his hospital room, and is leaning against the wall, thinking about what previously happened. There are flashbacks of Anu accusing Nikhil for her father's death, and how she slapped him, and kicked him out of the house.
• Laila comes in and asks him what the matter is. He tells her nothing, and Laila tells him that he considers her a friend, but doesn't tell her anything!
• Nikhil moves from the wall, and tells her that he was actually thinking about Papa (Abhinav) and how he was right about Anu not believing anyone but him. He tells her that he should have taken Papa to Anu, and since he didn't, look what had happened. He tells her that Anu thinks that he is responsible for Papa's death, when really, all he was trying to do was save hhim.
• He goes on saying that there is nothing but hatred in Anu's eyes towards him, and to the point that she doesn't even want to see his face. He tells her that he's tired, but there MUST be a way to solve this.
• Laila chips in saying that there IS NO WAY. Nikhil disagrees, and Laila tells him that he needs to forget Anu.
• Nikhil, appalled to hear this, tells her that he can't forget Anu.Sure, she hates him and doesn't want to see his face, and also that circumstances has turned her against him, but he can't be weakened towards them, he must fight. Laila tells him that this isn't possible, and that he shouldn't worry about it.
• She turns to leave, but Nikhil stops her asking her what she's talking about. Laila tells her that he shouldn't worry about it, and that he won't want to hear what she's got to say. Nikhil tells her to stop with her riddles and tell him what she's talking about.
• Laila turns around and tells him that she's not saying any riddles, yet his life has become a riddle. She tells him that since he wants to listen, she'll tell him. She tells him that she kept quiet because she didn't want to hurt him, but she must tell him now, that there is SOMONE else in Ananya's life.
  
• Nikhil is in disbelief after hearing this, and tells Laila that this isn't true. Just then he has flashbacks of Anu hugging Dhruv in the hospital, and how Dhruv was with her during the funeral.
• Laila tells him that she knows he's thinking about who that person could be, and very person is someone who was with Anu at the hospital, AND the funeral services.
  
• Nikhil, still not willing the believe the truth, tells Laila that this person is probably just a friend, and he was only there to help Anu through all the problems and troubles. Laila tells him that she knew he wouldnt believe her, and that she only wanted to help him as a friend. And to fulfill her duty as a friend, she WILL prove him wrong. She leaves from there, leaving a confused and dazed Nikhil behind in his depressing hospital room.
• Anu is about to go to work, and she stops by her mothers room. Meera is hooked on IV's and a nurse is by her side. She catches a glimpse of Meera. (Someone must have put that Meera's hair up...otherwise it would cause discomfort?)
  
• On her way out of the house, Anu gets a call from Dhruv, and he asks her how her mother is. Anu tells him that so far there is no improvement. Dhruv asks her if she could meet him this afternoon. Anu says she isn't sure if she can, but Dhruv insists, and she tells him that sure, she'll meet him at 5. Dhruv tells her to meet him at the City Resteraunt.
• Laila is standing there watching all of this in glee.
• Just then Kiran appears and asks Dhruv if this person he was talking to was Ananya. Dhruv lies and tells her that no, he was discussing a case with someone. Kiran asks if this case happens to be Ananya. Dhruv tells his mom that he loves Anu.
  
• Kiran tells him that she is upset that over this Anu, he would lie to her, and that Anu is not his type. Dhruv tells her that it may be the case that he is not Anu's type. Kiran tells him that she doesn't understand why he's head over heals over a girl like Ananya, when there are so many girls dying to be with him. Dhruv tells her that he cannot help but love Ananya.
  
• Kiran tells him that because of Anu, their relationship has gone to a drift, and that she demands him to NOT meet this girl today. Dhruv snaps at his mother and tells her not to talk about Anu that way. Kiran is shocked to hear the tone in Dhurv's voice.
• Dhruv apologizes, saying that he won't talk that way again. Kiran tells him that it is hard to forgive him, and that he must realize that if he marries Ananya, chances are that this mother-son relationship may just come to an end.
  
• Kiran leaves the room, and Laila is shown leaning against the wall with a smug expression on her face.
  
• Laila and Nikhil are at the City Resteraunt, and Nikhil asks her why she brought him here. Laila tells him that she promised that she will prove that Anu is in love with someone else. She points to Anu, who is downstairs waiting at a table. Laila tells him that there is Anu. Nikhil asks her so? Anu goes up the stairs and heads to another room.
• Laila tells him that it is 5 now. She leads him to the room that Anu went into, and tells him that he should go and see for himself.
  
• Nikhil goes to the door of the room and peers inside. There, he sees Anu and Dhruv hugging. He is in shock.
• END

Comments: Well this episode was alright, Laila poisons poor Nikhil's mind into thinking that Anu is in love with someone else. The ending was confusing, plus the tape I was watching had some errors, so I hope I got everything right. But in the end, Nikhil sees Anu and Dhruv hugging. The last scene was very confusing, so I wonder what happened then...perhaps Dhruv was consoling Anu? That could probably be it. But Laila was pretty good at planning this, if she were behind it! UGHHH!!

nik believes laila soooo much...he does not even question about how she knows that anu will come to that place at 5 or how she knows that anu is in that room....and that if laila knows so much then she shd also know who that man is and so on..... 😡
