ELAS UPDATE: July 16, 2007
- So Nikhil and Dhruv are walking down the hall, as well as Anu. They all stop at a different side, and Anu is in the middle. Anu is about to come out of the door, but she see's Dhruv. Dhruv see's Nikhil coming from the opposite direction. Seeing Dhruv, Anu backs away, and leaves. Nikhil and Dhruv see one another, surprised. Nikhil asks Dhruv what he's doing here, and Dhruv tells him that he is here to meet someone. Nikhil laughs and says that he is also here to meet someone. Dhruv asks Nikhil who he's looking for, and assumes that it is his wife. Nikhil tells him that he is correct. Dhruv tells him that he was right, and that both of their destinations are the same! Nikhil tells him that they are only at the same place. Dhruv tells him that it seems that they both seem to be looking for their someone and they are not here. He wishes him best of luck, and tells him that he would love to meet his wife. Anu is walking really quickly, and goes into the washroom. Laila is driving in the car, tensed as to what could be happening at the restaurant. Nikhil asks Dhruv what he's doing here, and Dhruv tells him that his someone special sent him a bouquet to come meet him here. Nikhil is surprised and asks that he too recieved a bouquet? Dhruv asks him what he means by that, and Nikhil tells him that he ALSO recieved a bouquet from his wife, asking him to meet him here. Laila is speeding up in her car, rushing to get to the restaurant. She is a nervous wreck. Dhruv tells Nikhil that it is odd that they perhaps received the same invitiation, at the same place, and perhaps the name is the same too. Nikhil laughs saying that this is impossible. Dhruv asks him what the person's name is, and just as Nikhil is about to tell him, Dhruv's phone rings. It is Laila who finally arrived. Laila asks Dhruv if he met with Ananya, and Dhruv tells her that strangely enough he didn't, yet he met up with someone else, and that is Mr. Tanand. Laila pretends to act surprised, and looks around the hallway hastily, and tells Dhruv she'll call him back. Nikhil is still waiting in the hall by himself, when Laila appears behind him. Nikhil is surprised to see her and asks her what she's doing here. Laila tells him to come with her, and drags him out of the room. Just then, Anu appears in the same hallway Nikhil was in, and goes to the same direction that Nikhil and Laila went into. Laila drags Nikhil into a different part of the hotel, as Anu is walking to another direction. Nikhil stops Laila and asks her what she's doing here and why she brought him here. Laila asks him what he's doing here, and tell he tells her that he got a bouquet from Ananya so he's waiting for her. Laila tells him that Anu won't be coming, because she is the one who sent him the bouquet. Anu is at an area where there are flower directions. She picks one up, and Dhruv appears behind her with a smile on his face. He calls her name, and Anu turns around and glares at him. And walks past him. Nikhil is disappointed to hear that Laila sent him the bouquet and asks her why she did that. She tells him that she couldn't stand seeing him upset, so she wanted to see him happy. Anu tells Dhruv that she did not send him the bouquet and she has no reason to. Dhruv tells her that the letter attached to the bouquet had her name on it, and it told him that he must meet her at 2 at this hotel. Anu tells him that this isn't possible, because why would she send a bouquet and want to meet him after her mother disrespected her family? Dhruv is unable to believe this and tells her that that is impossible. Anu tells him that if that is impossible, then he should confront his mother. Nikhil starts yelling at Laila asking her why she would do such a thing. He tells her that he was soo happy to receive a word from Ananya, as he was hoping he'd clear all the misunderstanding between them, and she made fun of his happiness. Laila puts up an acting, telling him that she is sooo so sorry for making him upset, as that wasn't her intention. She just wanted to see him happy. She tells him that she knows that him and Anu are meant for eachother, and all she wanted to do was see a smile on his face. Nikhil feels guilty and tells her it's okay. Laila tells him that he doesn't look good, and asks him if he wants to go back to the clinic. Nikhil agrees. Dhruv tells Anu that he understands that she didn't send the bouquet, but he doesn't know why she's getting so worked up over it. He asks her what he did to her to make her treat him this way. Anu tells him that it is not his fault, but she just doesn't want to deal with these misunderstandings anymore, so she wants to end this friendship. Dhruv tries to speak, but she tells him to please stop, and walks away. Kiran walks in her house, excitedly calling for Laila's name. She yells out that she has great news, that the Richen's have a proposal for Dhruv, and the girl is very beautiful! She sees that Laila isn't there, but sees that there is another bouquet sitting on the sofa. She wonders who its from, and read the letter attached to it, seeing that its from Anu. Kiran tells herself that this Anu has really gone far this time. After throwing one bouquet away, she sent yet another one. Kiran tells herself that she'll have to deal with this Anu. Laila brings Nikhil to his room, and turns to leave. Nikhil stops her and tells her that he didnt mean to behave the way he did and that he apologizes. He tells her that for a split second he actually thought that he will see Anu. Laila tells him to not give up, and that one day, he will get to be with Anu forever. Nikhil tells her that he really loves Anu and hopes that she is right. Laila tells him to go change and relax. He agrees and leaves to go change. In her head, Laila tells Nikhil that his love is actually infront of him, and that is her. He's just unable to see it. She tells him that she will make sure that Anu never comes near you, and that her and Dhruv will finally get together, and when that happens, the biggest thron of her plan will be thrown out. At Anu's house, the doorbell rings, and Meera answers the door. The delievery guy tells her that there is a bouquet from Kiran Mehra. Meera is confused but retrieves the bouquet. Just then the phone rings and Meera goes to answer it. In another room, Anu goes to answer the phone. Meera asks Kiran why she sent a bouquet, and Kiran tells her that she is actually sending BACK the bouquet that Anu sent her. Meera is confused, and Anu is listening to the conversation. Kiran tells Meera that her daughter is chasing her after her poor son, and she best watch what her daughter does. Meera tells Kiran that Anu would never do such a thing, as she has respect for her family. Kiran tells Meera that along with her son, Anu is making her a fool too. Meera gets angry and tells Kiran to stop throwing false accusations at her daughter, as Anu will never do such a thing, nor does she want anything to do with her son. Before she can say more, Kiran hangs up the phone. Anu is surprised, wondering who sent the bouquet, when it obviously wasn't her. Kiran hangs up the phone, and turns around to see Dhruv standing there furiously. Dhruv walks to his mother and tells her that he heard everything, and what she did was not good. Kiran tells him that what she did was for his own good. She tells him that a divorced women could never be her daughter in-law. Meera hands Anu the letter she supposedly sent, and Anu opens it and reads it. Meera tells her that she thought that her daughter would never do such a thing like this, she always trusted her daughter, and her daughter would never betray her trust. Meera goes on saying that she would proudly tell everyone that Anu would never do such a thing, and today, Anu betrayed her trust completely. Kiran goes up to Dhruv and asks him why he wishes to marry a divorced women. Dhruv upset, tells her that he never even thought of making that decision, but now he realized that he can make his own decisions, and he doesnt need his mothers support. He leaves Kiran standing there frustrated. Anu tells Meera that she did not send the bouquet. Meera gets frustrated screaming that if that were true, then who did it? Anu tells her that she didn't send Dhruv the bouquet, and she would never do anything to betray her trust. Anu tells her that if she doesnt believe her, then she will swear on Anushka's life. If she is lying then Anushka will...but before she can continue, Meera cuts her off saying that she will never do such a thing. Meera asks Anu for an explanation as to why Kiran keeps calling their house saying that Anu is after her son. Anu tells Meera that she doesn't have the slightest clue, but she will find out who is behind this, and soon.

Comments: An okay episode, but I found it boring, annoying and disappointing, as again, Nikhil and Anu had many chances to meet, but of course they didn't. I wasnt surprised though, but was frustrated with where the plot was going. The bouquet issue came up a lot today, and I am soo tired to typing it over and over. Hahahaa. But now Anu is determined to find out what is going on, and Dhruv is frustrated with his mother. The episode was pretty much pointless, and hopefully it'll get better throughout the week.
