laila is tulika's friend and laila's husband is nikhil's friend. kulbushan (tulika's father) killed laila's husband so now laila is staying at nikhil's house.
kulbushan killed laila's husband, akshay, becuz he wants akshay's shares in nikhil's company so he can take over nikhil's company. why kulbushan hates his son-in-law, nikhil, i dont know. hope that helps
