Nigar Khan ready for EKEH finale

Nigar Khan and Dinesh Kartik the finalists of Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena along with Harbhajan Singh-Mona Singh and Sreesanth-Surveen Chawla. Nigar spoke to us in detail about the show and how it feels to be part of the finals.

Nigar says, "When I first started I never really thought about reaching the finals. I took each day as it came and with a partner like Dinesh I really had to work hard. Bhajji and Sree dance well but I was never sure about Dinesh."

But Dinesh really rose to the occasion. Nigar adds, "He worked really hard. He likes to give a 100% to whatever he does." However, Nigar wasn't always so full of praises for the dancer. Initially she even turned back to go home after seeing him dance! She says, "When I first saw him perform I thought I was going to die! I just wanted to go back home and forget about the competition!"

Thankfully though Dinesh has improved so much that Nigar can't help but feel proud. She says, "Initially he was a 0 on the dancing scale but now I think he's become a 10!"

Even though Nigar taught him the steps, Dinesh taught Nigar some things too. Nigar says, "I used to get very hyper before every performance but Dinesh taught me how to relax and face any competition. We never gave up and our judges used to encourage us a lot! We couldn't have asked for better judges. Sushmita was our biggest supporter even when the audiences rejected us. But now even the audiences are sending us mails and SMS's praising us. That is the real victory!"

Lastly, we ask her about the much hyped kiss she shared with Dinesh. But Nigar quickly brushes it aside and reveals, "He is like a child! I used to pamper him a lot and give him ice cream and chocolates and he used to perform very well after that. So I told him that I would give him a kiss if he performed well. He did, so I gave him a kiss on the cheek. People have blown up the whole thing. but one thing is for sure, I enjoyed that show so much!"

The finale of the show will come on air on this Saturday at 9 pm.

After generating a large amount of sensation and stir, COLORS' first dance reality show Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena's second episode is back with a six.

The first of its kind dance show with heaps of enjoyment and entertainment in its kitty made all Khiladis and Haseenas swirl to varied themes of romance this time.....the theme being 'First Crush'.

The enchanting and sensational beauties along with their Khiladis took the stage together setting it on fire, presenting sizzling performances. The costumes, accessories, emotions, dance steps were prudently evaluated by the judges and commented upon.

The suave and charismatic Wasim Akram while admiring Sushmita's splendor recited, " Haan woh pehli nazar kitna yaad aati hai, jadu aisa chaa jata zehen mein mere, har nazar mein bas tu hi nazar aati hai ," leaving Sushmita agog.

In full lan Sushmita replied to Wasim saying, " Main kirat ke hadh se guzar gaya, gamye do jahan se guzar gaya, gamye aashique tera shukriya main kahan kahan se guzar gaya ," creating quite a stir among the audience.

A unique concept of pairing up stunning divas along with cricketers not known for their dancing abilities in a dance rivalry, the swelling up sentiments, spontaneous reactions of the contestants and the expressive drama of emotions that crop up indeed make Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena worth a watch.

Why it's raining offers for Sandhya

Mumbai: Actor Sandhya Mridul, who is currently hosting a popular reality dance show on television, says she chose to be a part of the venture knowing fully well that she will not get a chance to dance.

Sandhya, who finished second in the last season of the popular dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Ja, says that she does not look forward to dancing on reality shows.

"I happy that I'm just hosting Ek Khilada Ek Haseena. When they approached me, they clearly said that they were looking at me as a host and not as a participant. I was very happy with it as I dont want to dance in every reality show that comes up. Well,
sometimes I wish I could dance in the show, but it's ok. I would like to do different things," she says.

Sandhya has a wide array of films up her sleeves and she is enjoying her time in tinseltown.

"I think I'm having a really good time in the industry. There are some interesting films being made. Post Jhalak, offers increased for me since they saw that the Sandhya whom they knew could act, could dance well too. Im getting lots of offers for even item numbers in films. Im also doing live performances. I'm very happy with how things have turned out," she says.

But what kind of roles fascinate her? "You have seen the films I have done and those are the kind of films that I like doing. I like challenging roles that are intense. They might be dark but they are fun to do. I'm getting offers to do something different from what I have done so far and Im taking those up. I have very interesting films coming up and all of them are very different," she says.

But there is a genre that we have not seen Sandhya try out and thats action. "I have done some nice action in a very bad film called Mr. White Mr. Black and I love the genre. Its damn exciting to do all the stunts and pull off some of those sequences. Im really hoping to do a very nice action film soon," she ends.

Shriya Saran tried to woo cricketer Sreesanth at a recently held party

Actress Shriya Saran seems to have the hots for cricketer Sreesanth. If our source is to be believed, Shriya went out of her way to woo Sreesanth at a recently held Lakme Fashion Week party.

An eye witness said, "Shriya was hitting on Sreesanth big time. The actress was trying hard to impress him and falling over him throughout the event."

Apparently, Shriya did not leave Sreesanth's side even for a minute at the party. Our source added, "From the drink Sreesanth had to the food, Shriya kept fussing over him at the party. At first she wanted to know which drink the cricketer was having.

When Shriya learnt that Sreesanth was not into hard drinks and was having a soft drink, she remarked, 'How boring! Add some colour to your life Sreesanth'. And that's not all. Over dinner, Shriya kept asking Sreesanth what he would like to have and even offered to get food for him. Shriya also kept serving food to him, much to the cricketer's embarrassment."

Apparently, Shriya did not stop at that. Shriya, who was planning to visit another South Mumbai nightclub with Raima Sen and her friends, insisted that Sreesanth accompany her. However, Sreesanth declined saying that he was too tired and wanted to go back to the hotel room to rest.

Though disappointed, Shriya did not stop here too. She tried convincing Sreesanth to meet her the next day for a date at a restaurant. Our source said, "Shriya was constantly on the phone with Sreesanth to convince him to meet her the next day. However, Sreesanth refused saying that he had prior commitments."

Shriya remained unavailable for comment while Sreesanth said the expected, "No comments." However, a close friend of the actress disclosed, "They are family friends."

Gone are the days when there was animosity and rivalry between actors and co-artistes. Today actors and celebrities have smartened up. The generation today comes across as more confident and secure. Even reality show

contestants share positive vibes, despite the competition.

The recently case is that of Harbhajan Singh and Sreesanth on the sets of Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena. The cricketers who have been in-famous for the 'slapping' incident haven't been playing together on the cricket field but the duo have been battling it out with each other on the dance floor of the reality show. At the onset of the show, the two men didn't speak much. "But they were cordial," say the contestants. It was Mona Singh, Harbhajan's dance partner who realized the discomfort the two men were sharing. "Mona spoke to both the men and made sure that they patched up. And it was after that the men went on record praising each other's dancing abilities," says our source.

"That true," admits Mona. "Things have become better between Bhajji and Sree. They are mature people and understand that their grudges will hamper the show. I don't know how much credit can I take in this. All I can say is that I'm happy that they've put aside their personal issues and made the competition healthier."

Mona Readies for her big screen Debut

If you think that she was just a one show wonder, then think again. Mona Singh who shot to fame playing the ugly duckling in Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi, even won the mega dance reality show

Jhalak Dikhla Ja. Currently, she is seen shaking a leg with Harbhajan Singh in Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena.

But apart from all this there is something that is keeping her busy round the clock. Mona has been roped in by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Raju Hirani to play a pivotal role in three 3 Idiots. "I'm very lucky to have landed up at the right place at the right time," enthuses Mona. The woman who will share the screen space with Aamir Khan says, "I've been told that almost all my scenes will be with Aamir." That must've put loads of pressure on Mona because she has been sweating it out in the gym. "It's my debut film and I'm trying my best to knock off the extra pounds. I want to make sure that I look the best."

Physical aspect is another thing and talent is another. Is the idea of working with a perfectionist like Khan unnerving? "Not really," she shrugs. The actress is sure that she will not let herself down. "Other people's expectations don't matter to me because my own are very high." Mona will start shooting for 3 Idiots in January
