Ever since her last outing on TV has ended " she was part of the finite show, Ek Hasina Thi (EHT) " actor Sanjeeda Sheikh has been on the top of the world.
The serial was appreciated by the masses and also had a good run on the ratings chart. Until she signs her next project, the actor is taking some time off. "I have been travelling for the last 10 to 15 days," says Sanjeeda, who keeps herself occupied with stage shows and performances in various cities when she isn't doing a TV show.
Many TV stars tend to try their hand at Bollywood after achieving success on the small screen, but Sanjeeda isn't interested in taking that route. "I am clear about what I want from life. The entire TV fraternity wants to do films these days. I am not too keen to do movies, as I don't have time to waste on struggling for a role in a film," she says, adding that she would rather do a "substantial role" in a TV show, rather than do an "itsy-bitsy one in a film".
She says, "I would rather be the best at what I do. I would rather be an A-lister on TV than do B- or C-grade movies."
"EHT did wonders for my career. Earlier, people knew me mostly for my dancing abilities, but this show made them take notice of my acting capabilities as well. Now, I am looking to do something bigger and better," adds the actor, who admits that she hasn't really started looking for work yet.
