Don't call out on me please.

We know awards are given on basis of production houses and their influence. This explains how IKNMP won despite just starting now.

Good concepts are not always encouraged. And Guild certainly isn't interested in supporting good stuff. It has its vested interests otherwise it would have awarded many more good shows with good concepts.

Sony had that show where bahu teaches illiterate saas and encourages her to get educated and saas in turn helps her learn how to manage home and work. But that show never got any recognition at all. All because its PH lacks influence.

Awards are based on politics. I am talking about that. Not talking about shows because I don't give a damn about any of them. I have no agenda on any show.

You are a fan of that show. Good for you. But please stop taking my post as some attack on you or your favourite. I was talking in general about politics in handing out awards. Whereas you seem hung up on Everest! I am not interested to know how good or bad it is. Thank you.

TRP numbers and media has their own views which they make after watching the show. Media is paid for writing reviews and it is their job. But viewers like us should only comment on something especially negative if we have first hand experience of the show. I am not only talking about Everest I am talking in general that is why I didn't make any comment on any other shows who won award as I don't know about them. I made comment on Everest because I watch it.

Irrespective of the TRP numbers as a viewer of Everest I would stand by the statement it is one of the best serials currently available in Indian Television and only AG can create such a masterpiece. Before you post another negative comment on this show share your views than tell me what media or TRP is telling. If you cant don't call out the show.

And yes production house matters and if the name of the production house can give mileage to quality content I am all for it. It is time big Bollywood directors and producers come to TV create sensible concept and use their muscle power or whatever you want to call it to change the content in the TV. I would also wont mind Bollywood stars coming for interesting concepts and their presence can give mileage and visibility to the show. I am all for it.

TRPS are facts. Pure numbers. Not opinions.

Viewer posts are opinions.

And TRP wise Everest is a flop.

Simple.

This award is given by producers guild. Gowariker and Ekta are members of the guild. Hence they got awards even though their shows neither completed much time span nor got much success.

Which shows need to be encouraged or discouraged is our personal opinion and awards are certainly not given on basis of altruist concern to promote quality! Awards are given on politics and were given thus here also.

I am saying something else whereas you are hounding me over something else!

All Bollywood concepts are not intelligent. Balaji was also started by a Bollywood guy. Jeetendra. And they did more harm than good. Most shows of Bollywood ones are also overrated and pretentious. But get better reviews because of that Big Bollywood star/filmmaker tag. I wouldn't count on Bollywood to bring good content on TV when their own films are trash every year, leaving aside 1 or 2!

Those days are gone when people like Basu Chatterjee, BR Chopra, Ramanand Sagar actually brought decent content and better story telling on TV, which also struck chord with viewers.
