Right from the moment i saw the first promo of EHT, i decided to give this show a try as it looked different and i have always liked sanjeeda. Then the first episode kind of set up the base and yes it was different . the novelty of concept , the stellar star cast made it stand out in the television world. It was a good attempt by the production house to indeed have a show which deals with soomething other then typical love story and kitchen politics.
EHT stands out for it's female characters ...though there were many flaws and bloopers but still the writer has done a good job in writing the character of durga ( the female lead ) shaurya ( the antagonist) and sakshi goenka ( the invincible master player) In a short period of time this show has garnered awards , appreciation and ratings too. This show is one of the reason that STAR plus is able to change it's image of saas bahu soaps channel to modern and liberal one atleast a bit. Not to undermine the contribution of other shows on channel but EHT by far has been the boldest show for star.
The star cast for this show is the real reason for the success . each and every actor has done a brilliant job in the role given to them.It had the best villains for any show who invoked anger in ppl.
SANJEEDA---as i said i was always her fan so i gave it a shot for her and she did good as durga. Infact despite flaws i can't imagine anyone else as durga other then her. she was really awsum as the cunning and intelligent durga and i loved her scenes with sakshi the most obviously but also with dayal , shaurya, payal and akash. She did justice to her character and happy that she played a character which will always stand out amongst all female leads.
SIMONE-- now what should i say for her. i will definitely fall short of words if is tart praising her. She has outdone not only herself but everyone else too. she is actually an actor par excellence, show stealer , the strongest pillar of the show. whether it was her style, her sarees , her hairstyles , her jewellery or her one stare ...she has done a phenomenal job as sakshi. her dialogues , her expressions , emotions she showed on her face during many situations clearly proves the depth of her acting skills. She as an actor and as a character stand tallest in the television world and seriously ppl need to see and learn from her how not to go overboard while playing a negative character. considering this was her first negative character she has more then rocked it.
VATSAL---this was his first television show after a long time and what acharacter he has chosen for himself. even his old fans wouldn't have imagined him to play shaurya the monster. vatsal has really improved by leaps and bounds in this show. you can actually see his progress from the first epi where he was really bad to last leg of show where he literally owned it. He made us hate shaurya so much that we literally use to think of the severest & brutal punishment for shaurya.
AYUB KHAN---he has been great as rajnath goenka. the shrewdness , selfishness he brought to rajnath was simply brilliant. he was one of the best actors of this show and it was nice to see him in a challenging & a different character from the previous one.
BHUPINDER SINGH---I saw him in madhubala first & wasn't impressed but here he was in a far superior league as an actor and the character he portrayed. he had made great use of his talent as dr. dayal thakur. Dayal and durga were one of the best jodi in this show & i really wanted him to be with durga till the end. he was another shining star of EHT.
TEENA---she has immense talent and she really made ppl connect with pain of payal. she was outstanding as payal & hopefully she would get some good project after this.
KISHWER played raima to T. she was stylish and looked pretty. she acted well too.
BHUVNESH as dev annoyed me to core sometimes but still he was good . i wish him all the best for his next project.
The other actors too were really good and all have done a decent jon in the show.
I wish each and every member of this team all the best for their future projects and may they get more name , fame, popularity and fans. i also wish they make a comeback soon.
EHT will always be remembered and missed.
