The Thread is up

It is still being updated as fan creations and edits come up

Please keep checking it

Now for my speech!😊

Ek Hasina Thi was a truly different show and very very promising in the beginning. The first 3 months of this show shall always remain the Gold Standard for quality narrative in modern history of Indian television!πŸ‘

The USP of this show was its cast. πŸ‘ Absolutely brilliant, perfect fit in their respective roles. Simone Singh especially has been a complete revelation in this show as no one had ever expected her to pull off a ruthless and complex role like this! Thanks to Heena in 90s I always thought of her as a typical suffering lead type.πŸ˜› But she took me by surprise and how! In fact she continued to grow finer with every passing episode and lived as Sakshi Goenka than just act!

Many were like me who fell for her completely.😊

Sanjeeda Sheikh had the typical sharp looks to fit a role as fierce as Durga Thakur. 😊

Vatsal Sheth was another surprise as the vile rapist Shaurya Goenka. Ayub Khan has done many negative roles earlier but this one has to be his best by far! πŸ‘

Bhupinder Singh as Dr Dayal Thakur was a gem! Both as an actor and a character! πŸ‘

Kishwer Merchant was fab as Raima Maheshwari. 😊

Teena Chopra, who played Payal was so convincing that she made one's heart go out for Payal despite less scenes! Watching her act, you can't believe she is a newcomer!πŸ‘

This was a good attempt at highlighting dark side of society and extremes of human nature. It also tried to raise awareness on rape and how justice is denied due to corruption by the rich.

It did very well by showing woman as protective shield for man and the power of the woman which can be both constructive and destructive. It will be remembered for having two very powerful female protagonists and antagonist who are focused on their purpose and will not let anything deter them!😊

It had great villains who evoked multiple emotions at once! Hatred, shock, awe, amusement, pity, sympathy, apathy, anger, curiosity! It had a very supportive male lead in form of Dev. Such a range of characters in one show is a feat in itself!πŸ‘

Even the other supporting characters like Mukherjee, Mandal, Karan, Mathur etc. left an impact with their distinct mannerisms!πŸ˜†

It was nice to see justice being done and manipulations, fake fame of the rich and powerful being exposed.

The show inspired great discussions, debates, write ups, fun posts, spoofs and memes. Its forum has been a unique experience, with rich discussions.😊

The team of the show is also great and interacted with fans very regularly, posting exclusive offscreen pics, discussing the show with fans and taking both praise and criticism with grace and patience. Their humility is admirable!😊 They seem to have bonded very well offscreen and are truly a great team. They did their best with whatever they were given!πŸ‘

The fan clubs of Ek Hasina Thi have also bonded very well with each other and have been really supportive.

I wish this show had completed its term properly. I admit I am not satisfied with its end. πŸ˜•

Still I congratulate the cast for giving its best in whatever they were given. I will always remember the show for its concept, strong characters, with distinct style and mannerisms, solid villains, some powerful statements on women's issues and corruption, the great cast and the way they interacted with fans, the lovely forum and its diverse discussions...this show had become a habit, an addiction we kept watching no matter what!

Thank you everyone - EHT team, fans, forum members for the experience! All the best to all!πŸ€—

Lastly, many thanks to Shrutiravi, Ruby_07, Dabhlover, Rainbowcatxo for helping in the making of this thread. Thanks a lot to all those members who liked my threads, had patience to read my posts and came here for farewell too. Thank you for this appreciation and support! My most memorable forum experience on IF!πŸ€—

I will really miss this show Ek Hasina Thi and its potential which was not realised fully. I will miss the EHT forum a lot and all the discussions we had here whether humour or heated debates! Good byes are hard but this is one Good Bye which is a tad harder for me given how attached I was to this show and the forum.😭

Good-bye Ek Hasina Thi.

One of the most amazing thriller show I have ever watched on Indian TV. It has indeed left a mark and it'll be always be remembered. Remembered by the suspense, by the essence of social issues etc etc. The cast were portrayed classically and they nailed the characters perfectly. The characters are now history. The story, the bravery and the crimes were not just fictional but contained real life incidents. Such shows are hard to find in Indian TV. Ek Haseena Thi will be missed badly.

Hats off to all the cast and crew members. Thank you all for giving us such a wonderful show.

Hopefully it will return with a new season and with more interesting story.

Good luck to all for their future and hoping more great shows of/from/by them.

Very good thread, I really liked the story line summary as it helped recollect what happened in the show.
Sad to see such an amazing show end and I can't wait to see some of the new work the actors in the show do.

Good bye EHT. .. 😭 The show which ruled our minds.. The show which portrayed the power of women either good or bad.. is ending... This show may end but the impact which it left is longlastingπŸ‘ kudos to the team of eht for coming up with such a sensitive topic which is of utmost importance in the society today... even though this show may have had many loop holes for a rushed end (I will never forgive the one behind this😑 ) it will always remain close to my heart.. 😊
Anu di ... It was so nice meeting you in this forum.. πŸ˜ƒ will miss your posts and analyses .. and finally eht forum was so lively becoz of you... 😳 wonderful farewell thread .. nice work di. .😊
