Never again are we going to get a show with potential of EHT.
Never again will we get characters as strong as EHT ones. As layered and shaded as Sakshi, Rajnath, Shaurya and his friends.
Each woman in EHT was either working or studying. No one was just a housewife.
Sakshi was a journalist earlier. Then MD of Goenka Industries.
Suchitra runs Arnab Goenka foundation.
Raima was feeding off Goenkas but ran a finishing school.
Nitya was working at a club earlier. Then as Durga she was a social worker and running an NGO. She also handled cancer project.
Payal was studying.
You have no other show on TV where all women characters are strong, working and have a life outside just kitchen.
We will never have the grandeur that EHT had in first 3 months.
We will never have such properly sketched, layered villains. Most shows have just caricatures as villains.
We won't get characters who elicit multiple emotions at once - hate, shock, curiosity, suspicion, love, awe, pity, amusement etc.
We cannot get to see supportive men like Dayal.
The actors got good roles after ages. Simone and Vatsal were on top in 90s with Heena and Just Mohabbat. But they know how hard it is for good roles to come by. They got iconic roles after a decade.
I am sad for actors. Their potential went waste despite awards and popularity.
Sanjeeda too cannot get better role than Durga. Her 8 years must have taught her that. We are never going to get a female protagonist again who remains steadfast in her mission and doesn't get distracted by marriage or love and doesn't forgive or keep taking shit.
Ayub never got reactions that he got for EHT. Hate, pity and even sympathy!
It was never again opportunity.
