Hey everyone! My name's Prabh! I've been a silent and not so active member in this forum despite being a avid follower of the show. But today a thought crossed my mind and I felt the need to share it with everyone. And it's all about the quote "Distance Makes the Heart Grow Fonder."
From what had been shown from Suman's POV, it seems to be that the 10 year distance between her and Shravan has really given a value to him in her life. Shravan was always that one friend who was there to do her homework, admire her yet stay quiet as she ignored him to maintain her image. That Suman did care for his friendship, but not to the extent that today's Suman does.
This Suman has changed. One mistake from her side and her friend was gone. That one mistake cost her a good friend who's value she realized once he was gone. The distance from him for 10 years taught her so much about her own feelings for Shravan. He was the one who always did as she said, he liked her, and most importantly he was a good friend.
This realization hit her hard when he had left and not seeing him for 10 years left her longing for her friend. She waited to apologize to him, got excited when she heard he was coming back unable to stay away any longer. This Suman changed because of the distance. She was no longer the Suman who didn't acknowledge Shravan, instead she was the one seeking out for his friendship and willingly to do anything to get that forgiveness and her friend back. So the distance after her mistake made her realize how important he was for her.
Now I wonder whether the same will apply to Shravan. He is going to make a mistake, in fact two if the spoiler about the goons is true. Following this and from what the promos had indicated, Suman will stand up her self respect unable to forgive Shravan for what he will do with her. Once she begins to distance herself, will the guilt and regret which he will eventually feel with the added distance that Suman will create like he had 10 years back lead him into realize the value of her in his life that has been lost in his want for revenge? Will seeing her hurt due to him and slowly losing his friend once again make him realize that Suman is way too important in his life? More important than getting her back for what she did 10 years back?
