Monday - Maafi
One sorry.
She had waited 10 years to give him that one sorry. It was the one sorry she regretted not being able to say earlier. It was the same sorry she had kept many hopes on and it was the sorry she was that would give her back her friend...her Shravan. It was that sorry he had wished to hear. The one word that would have made him smile had it been said 10 years ago. It was the sorry he had no hopes on every hearing and it was the one sorry that had cost him his friend...his Sumo.
But it was that very sorry that 10 years overdue changed everything. The friend she was excited to meet killed her excitement. The smile vanished off her face as he told her he had moved on. The very man she had been stuck thinking about, planning to meet, and who's sorry she had remembered for years simply asked her to move on.
The very sorry he would have been overjoyed to hear didn't move an inch of his face. The very sorry that would have fixed everything was now so overdue that its meaning seemed to have faded away from his mind. Was she that unimportant that he was over the incident that she regretted for 10 years? Was he really over his Sumo? Did he really mean his words or were they meant for him more than her?
This one sorry and that confrontation scene between Suman-Shravan really put their story in gear. This is where their story begins after 10 years. That one powerful scene really hit these characters and brought them to a point of questioning the other. She had longed to see him, prepared and dressed herself to meet him only to have him say he doesn't know her. But that was one day of excitement, this was 10 years ago of waiting. This was the one word she had been holding onto for years. This was the thing she kept her hopes on patching up with a friend. But when he refuses to give attention that sorry, rejecting it, he not only rejected the sorry, but her and her friendship.
His words "You should move on" began the questioning. Did she really matter in his life after 10 years had passed? But more important, did she care whether she mattered or not? The rejection of a sorry and the words "move on" began this story and let's see where this will go now...

Moving on; two words easier said than done.
He looked at his watch to see the time. He had blurted out that he had moved on, but had he really. He tried to play a game of chess with his mind lost in her thoughts. Had he really moved on? His mind constant thinking back to her, to her reactions and to her behaviour. He was in the room yet not in there. He was lost in imagining the results of his words. Would she really move on? Would he be that easy to forget after she had spent 10 years remembering to give him that one sorry he had wanted?
She looked down at her watch to see the time. He had made it seem so simple. Told her to move on, told her to forget the 10 years she had cherished their memories, told him to forget about the things that had happened before that incident...he just told her to move on. It seemed so easy to say, but it was taking all she had to do. Calling all the memories that she kept safely in her room was something she packed away and called trash. It seemed like she was calling years of her life trash. However more than that it was the task of having to avoid him.
She chose to avoid him. Was it because she wanted to erase him completely from her memories? Or was it because it was next to impossible to move on from him and his memories when he would be in front of her eyes? Was it just too hard and too important in her life to forget? Only time would tell...
This episode was all about moving on and what these words did to Suman and Shravan. These words on moving on took over their thoughts; they took over each other's thoughts. Now it was his turn to question his value in her life. He felt like she would be dying to meet him, or was it his inner voice telling me he hoped that she would be dying to meet him. Was it his pride on himself that she would be eager to see him or was it his questioning on whether he mattered to her anymore or not? On the other hand she was so desperate to move on, yet she knew it was impossible on seeing him in front of her. Moving on wasn't a simple task and much harder for them because maybe they really didn't want to move on...
Wednesday - Ego
Ego or self-respect?
She questioned his ego. Concealing the hurt from his rejection of her apology and his casual way of telling her to move on which was hurting her further, she questioned his "ego" and behaviour during the Mata Ki Chowki. She poured out her frustration on the situation, she questioned his behaviour and secretly took out the anger she had on him for the words that he told her and the way he had brushed off her apology. She said he ran away from his problems like a coward, was it her true feelings for him or was this her concealed way of trying to get his ego to make him stay back?
He didn't let her words get to her, knowing it wasn't the Mata Ki Chowki that upset her rather it was their earlier confrontation. He ignored her every remark on his ego and behaviour, until it she mentioned him running away 10 years ago. It angered him as she thought that he was someone who ran away from his problems and now was about to do the same. Her words hurt like his had the previous time. Now this time he faced the hurt of words, being called a coward and a man who ran away matter to him...because it was what she thought. The words hurt his ego, or did they hurt his feelings which were for her...
Was it his self-respect that he didn't accept her apology, or some may say it went to the extent where he didn't acknowledge it? Or was it ego that couldn't let him forgive the woman who had hurt him? Whether it was his self-respect or his ego, her words matter to him. It affected him when he heard what she thought of him and his words had the same impact on her as we saw in the previous confrontation.
This episode and this confrontation poured out her emotions that had been kept in after their previous meeting yet it made his emotions and feelings quite questionable. He hadn't moved on so fast and now it would be shown whether he cared about her words or not. Whether she mattered to him or not...
Thursday - Just Can't Move on
Whether ego or self-respect, moving on was never an easy thing to do.
He was supposedly doing it for his ego, some say self-respect. But he couldn't. He said he would leave and she called him a coward for running away like he had 10 years ago. The words affected him, her opinion of him affected him...she affected him.
Some would say his ego made him stay back to prove her wrong, while it was very possible that it was her opinion on him that he wanted to change. He didn't want her to think he was a coward, he didn't want her to think he would run away, he didn't want her to think of him in such a negative way. He wanted her opinion on him to be a good one. Her opinion...she mattered to him making him stay back when no one else's plea could do the same.
She was supposedly doing it for her self-respect, some say ego. But she couldn't. She had thrown over 10 years of her memories into a box and called it a box of trash. However she couldn't throw it out, that box of "scrap" meant too much for her. She wanted to put away the box, reflecting a hope that maybe she couldn't get him out of her life like she couldn't get this box of memories out.
But once that box was thrown away, it seemed like she had her hopes tossed out along with it. She was willing to do anything to get the box back, to get the memories back, to get that hope of hers back. And that's made her run around town trying to find that one box that seemed to carry her most precious treasure and it's what made Suman pay any price asked for it, because it was her priceless possession...
This episode was all about their heart's struggle to do what their mind wanted them to. His mind wanted to move on, so did hers. Her heart didn't let her move on nor did his. He was affected by her as much as he tried to deny it and it was only her words which made him stay back while she was holding onto his memories doing anything to keep them with her because he couldn't leave her life so easily. They couldn't move on as easily as they had claimed...
Friday - New Hopes?
He would wait for her to come and she would be excited to go...
He wanted her to come. She refused and all he said was "I will wait for you." He wanted her to come at any cost. He didn't think twice before booking her friend's flight to give her a reason to come to the reunion. He left her a dress as a gift hoping she would come into the party wearing the dress. All he wanted was her presence in the reunion. No matter what, she was the only one in his thoughts and the only one who he really cared for while preparing for this party as if this was party was only for her.
She heard that he had called her friend and that she should come. She knew it was him giving her a reason to come. She was happy to know he wanted her to be a part of the celebrations yet refused unable to decide whether she should go forgetting her aim of moving on to whether to accept the sudden changes in him. Unable to decide, she opened the gift he had left for her, and her blush said it all. She couldn't hide what she felt as her shy face gave it all away. She had wanted this, she wanted him to stay and change, she wanted to be with him, she wanted him in her life...
This episode left hope in her heart for their relationship to be mended upon seeing his changes. She didn't want him out of her life and as much as he tried to hide it, he didn't either. They both wanted the other's presence as the other was all they were thinking about ever since they had met after 10 years...
Sruthi (DilMereSuntaNhi)This Week: Their story was progressing quite a bit this week, they are realizing it isn't easy to move on. They are trying to move on, but they don't realize that they are worth too much in each other's lives to do so. That will hopefully be a change that takes place over time. And even though Shravan doesn't seem to have the best intentions when inviting Suman to the party, I am hoping it will be only result in their story progressing in some way. Hopefully this upcoming week will continue their story in the way it had been slowly making progress...
