Suman has not indicated anything other than a platonic friendship between the two. So I don't think she knows of the contents of the letter. I also think that, unless things were to progress in the powder puff front, it is too soon for him to introduce her as his fiance. At the moment, I think Shravan is out to get back at Suman, not necessarily romantically.

Other than Shravans inclination toward Suman, there is nothing romantic about the times they have shared. A friend, a best friend at that, irrespective of his/her gender is an important part of a persons life. And love comes in different forms. So Suman always loved Shravan, but was never IN LOVE with him. Shravan always loved Suman, but he fell in love with her. To love as a friend is different to being in love and wanting to spend your life with that person, which is what Shravan wanted from Suman.

Moving on to Suman, she loved and still loves her friend Shravan but is not necessarily in love with him, yet.

Suman has been focussed on things other than just Shravan- her responsibilities. Shravan has been equally focussed on his life as he tried to build it and Suman, who has always been at the back of his mind and the trigger for how he shaped his life. He fashioned himself into the man he is now because of Suman.

Though he is important to her, Suman has never considered him priority 1 where as for Shravan, it is all about Suman and has always been about her.

I think beagalboy is on to something here. I think there is a major misunderstanding and miscommunication between them. Yes it's true Suman knows she hurt him in some way, but I don't think she is aware of what exactly he perceives it to be. Hence the statement "It was not such a big deal after all" when it clearly was to him. In his mind that very statement of hers confirms to him that he was right in thinking she cared nothing for him or this feelings. Not then, and not now. Thus his desire for revenge. In his mind, it's payback time and it's time Suman got a taste of her own medicine.

I don't think Suman got intimate with anyone. I think Shravan thinks that she insulted his feelings and maybe made a joke of it in front of everyone. It's possible she thought her cool image will be tarnished by showing any emotions. But I also feel she didn't know the actual contents of the letter, if she knew about it at all! So what she made a joke of and what HE thinks she made a joke of could be totally different!

I think it is only the revelation of the past that will make this story and this picture clearer to us. But on a different note, that Urvashi is a serious bimbo and I hope he does not get involved with her at all. Who can bare her type for more than half an hour at a time. Women so shallow and vain are just plain boring. We can tell Shravan is not at all into such women. The only reason he shows interest in them is coz they are shallow and easy to please. REAL women, women like Suman are a lot harder to impress. After being in love with Suman, he could never fall for a fool like Urvashi. I hope she does not feature prominently in the story. Only enough to take the narrative forward!

As the story unfoldsit seems like Shraavan was frequently rejected and unintentionally rejected By Suman..

My heart went for little shravan he is so devastated and heart broken and sumo lost in her cool little world that she was unable to see what she was doing with shravan. If we talk frankly she is using him like writing notes for her buying gifts and all but when it's time to acknowledge him as her friend in public she refused him and he was like her little dirty secret and he is not deserve a friend. I think shravan thinks like that and his confidence and self esteem badly broken. And why would any one wants to friends with a girl who is not his friend publicly because he is shy, nerd. That's why he gone to London because he can't bear more heart breaks. And now he want give same to sumo just like she did with him unaware of sumo how much she was hurting him. It's like giving her own medicine well I can understand shravan anger and hurt. But hope that he didn't go extreme and hurt her
