ABOUT THE CHARACTERS
SUMAN TIWARI (Palak Jain/Nikita Dutta)
Suman is the kind of girl who gets things done. A motivated and hard-working young woman, Suman runs her own tiffin catering business - where the workers know to be careful of her hot temper and her sharp tongue. At home, Suman always does everything that is asked of her, even though her relatives never seem to realize that she might have needs and plans of her own. Her main goal in life right now is to pay off the loan her late parents took from her Mama and Mami, no matter if it means she has to delay her own dreams of seeing the world. Suman's independence is her greatest quality.
Even though she is responsible and dutiful, Suman is also lively and fun-loving. She has a warm spirit and an infectious smile. She doesn't have a lot of time these days for friends or hobbies; the most important person in her life is her Nanu, a retired judge (or lawyer? not sure), and the most important activity is her business. However, she does carry one dream she hopes to soon fulfill, and that's apologizing to and reuniting with Shravan Malhotra...the boy who lives so vividly in her memories, who has been away for ten long years. She wasn't the sweetest friend to him when they were growing up, but she knows everything will be ok if she can finally just apologize...
SHRAVAN MALHOTRA (Vishal Jethwa/Namik Paul)
Shravan is a sophisticated and accomplished man of the world. He's a top lawyer with an Oxford education. Charming and intelligent, Shravan knows how soothe ruffled tempers and make people feel important. He used to wear his heart on his sleeve but he has learned to control his emotions. He has also learned how to put himself first, and though he loves his father and respects his family, he has no intention of staying back in India to take over the family business.
Shravan is confident and even has a little bit of ego. He knows what and who he values, and he won't waste time on anything that's not important to him. He has a quiet personality and can be very polite and respectful, but underneath all that there is a spine of steel and a locked heart. He might say he doesn't remember any Suman...but whether he admits it or not, it's clear that only she has the key to open his heart again.
