I so agree with you. This serial is a breath of fresh air. Its adorable and a treat to watch. Nice direction and I love how they incorporate the childhood scenes with the status quo. The undercurrent between the main characters is very subtle and I love their silent interaction. They are so cute together. They definitely care for each other but pride won't let them surrender.

I agree with your points. The fact that there is no hyper-imaginative villains is a great plus for me. The family members are merely self-centred, which is realistic. There is no evil scheming, more like minor disagreements, as you mentioned.

I am loving this. I hope they stay on this track and don't veer into saas-bahu rubbish or non-sense melodrama.

I think this is my favourite serial currently.

Actually I am surprised that Sony TV is bold enough to take the risk with this show. But if we look at it... this is the kind of show that no other channel telecasts. The other competing shows would be Tamanna and Kasam in this genre? Both would be romance with a lot of drama bla bla bla and probably running 6 to 7 days a week. Which means less creativity.
Sony seems to have hit the target audience bang on... lets wait and watch how the TRP behaves? I hope the Indian audiance would be able to take this content... that is probably why the angst as TRP aunties do love romance and crying ;)

Exactly! and their scenes are pretty much natural without being dramatic. I am loving them already ❤️ Wonder what Sumo did in the past coz that's where Shravan picked up this 'Women are like this' attitude.

You have summed up the positives of this show so beautifully. The lack of excess melodrama, independent well-etched protagonists with a backstory that is interwoven seamlessly into this show makes this show enjoyable to me. It's refreshing and nice to watch a female protagonist like Sumo -- independent, gutsy and one who can fight her own battles and the sorta role reversal (television-wise) when they were younger. It is very rare to find female leads that depart from the usual soapbox cliches.

I enjoyed watching their meeting too. It was funny and cute and angst - all rolled into one. I was expecting some long-drawn out eye-lock and discomfort, so I was pleasantly surprised that it was done with such subtlety, whilst simultaneously adding depth to their characters and relationship with the flashbacks. I loved how with each pol-khol that Dabbu did, Shravan would look up/slightly at her.

WORD! Everything you said.

Yes it was really well executed.
Everyone was praising the show so much that I thought I would give it a try and since I don't have the channel on my tv I saw it online. I thought I would just c 2 episodes and then leave it but I really got hooked to it and ended up seeing the entire week's episode. 😊

I seriously felt for Suman. Pretending to not care but actually dying to meet Shravan & impress him. All her antics from trying to doll up to catch his eye or cooking food for him were v endearing without going overboard. Not sure wat the MU is but Suman is seriously going to have a heart break 😭 I am assuming that Shravan has a GF!
