OK after today's episode, it's official. I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS SHOW & Shravan/Suman.
Their first meeting was so so good. Much better than I expected It was all sorts of adorable. Even their teen selves were much more than mature than them😆, with both of them acting as though they don't care. But of course, the prize goes to Suman.
Bechari Suman😆 all her attempts at showing Shravan that she was unaffected by him failed.
First, mami told him she made food for him. Then she fell out of the window only to have him open the door for her. And then Dabbu revealed that her stomach was making noises & she had obviously not eaten. Oh it didn't stop there. Dabbu just had to go on about the rubik cube.
It's so obvious that they care for each other & are affected by the mere mention of one another, but their pride & ego is stopping them from being honest & confronting each other. This show is turning out to be much more angsty than I thought, even though these two are too adorable😳 Wonder what it will take for Shravan to finally speak to Suman, & for Suman to break down her walls & confess that she has waited for him all these years.
Since this show has completed a week, there are some points that I would love to applaud the show for -
1. Apt use of childhood scenes as flashbacks rather than random childhood scenes that don't hold much significance. Very good editing & thought there.
2. Progressive characters - 2 leads who are well-educated & independent, Nanaji giving importance to Suman's work, Suman's relatives having no problems with her having a guy friend & cooking for him while they are out (interesting how it is Dabbu who questioned what Suman & Shravan were doing alone in the house), the bond between Mr Malhotra & Nanaji as well as the friendship between both families despite the class difference
3. Lack of melodrama in both families, rather more of subtle hints of disagreements like relatives not liking Suman going to USA with them, & Shravan's aunt not liking Pushkar being sidelined.
Hope the show remains this way in the long run!
Cheers,
Samridhi
