Vishal Gandhi last seen in Bandhan Saat Janamon Ka will now feature in an episode of the Vikram Betal series.
Talking about his character, "I'm playing a complete out and out negative character. I play Gopu, who is a notorious gambler. He squanders all his wealth on gambling. Gopu dupes a wealthy girl into marrying him and later kills his wife. Eventually, he's left to suffer his sins."
It's for the first time that the actor is playing a negative character and he's quite excited about it. He says, "Actually, while I was doing a boy-next-door role inBandhan, a lot of my friends told me that I've got the looks to play a negative character. I'm lucky to have got to play a different character in just my second show. Hope the viewers like it."

About the journey so far on small screen, Vishal shares, "I've worked with various production houses and have done different characters too. Be it that of a servant (who's actually a business tycoon) in Bandhan - Saat Janmon Ka or a college student in Pyaar Ki Yeh Ek Kahaani - I've got different kind of roles. I feel really happy about it." He adds on, "I feel happy to be doing an emotional drama again, something I enjoy doing the most." About his previous ventures, this 29-year-old actor avers, "I was a child actor - acted in film Ekka Raja Rani. Later I did various commercials and modeling assignments. But I never planned a career in acting."
And what does he aspire next? "I look forward to doing films. But it's good to be with television before getting into movies as you get your chances to learn from your mistakes. Movies, on the other hand are one time opportunity. If you click you're there else you never know."
Talking about reality shows, Vishal feels they are not scripted at all. "I really like the concept of reality shows. Many people think it is scripted, but I have witnessed few reality shows and I know all the expressions and emotions are real and there's no script at all." And would he like to participate in them gotten a chance? "Yes, I'm very fond of dancing and stand-up comedy acts would be fun too as it is very difficult to match the timings. It will be a good challenge for me as an actor. But frankly speaking, I've not got any offer from the reality shows to participate."
And what does Vishal do in his leisure time? "I have been a state-level volleyball player, so whenever I get free time, I go to my the ground and play with kids there or I'm on Play Station Portable. I also try to spend quality time with my wife Sunhom as our working schedules don't match up." It's been three years of marital bliss for Vishal and he feels, "Everything feels the same, even now. Nothing has changed and right now, we're not planning about extending the family. Still cherishing the lovely compatibility of being together."
