Tejal: "Vaibhavi, I'll drive the car now while going".
Vaibhavi: "Okay my dear sis.. Anyhow, I'll not be in a condition to drive after drink.
Tejal and Vaibhavi were enjoying their drink when they heard a voice behind them, "Aren't you the rowdy girl from the bus-stand?".
They turned to see a pretty girl standing behind them standing with a red face.
Tejal: "Anushka?"
Anushka: "Yes. Anushka it is. By the way, you were the one who bad-mouthed Aniket today morning itself na? Why did you come here again?
Tejal: "What nonsense are you talking Anushka? I bad-mouthed Aniket? You came to the scene at last moment. You have no idea what happened"
Anushka: "I have no interest to know what happened. But I don't like you. And stay away from Aniket. Don't keep reeling around him. You were lucky that you got chosen as Aniket's dance partner.
Tejal: "But….."
Anushka: "And I hated it. I wanted to spend some time with him. I wanted to dance with him. You ruined my plan. But I am warning you, from next time, don't come near him.
Vaibhavi: "Excuse me, Anushka or whatever, how dare you talk to Tejal like that? Don't you have any manners? Jumped out of nowhere and started blabbering like you own the place".
Anushka: "Who are you? This girl's lawyer?"
Vaibhavi: I'm Tejal's sister. And I assure you, next time you misbehave with my sister, you'll find nobody worse than me".
Anushka: "Get lost. I'm not talking to you. I have issues with your rowdy sister, so I came to resolve it. Why are you poking your nose in between?"
Vaibhavi: "What?? How dare you say Tejal rowdy? I'm surprised seeing your boldness. How easily you are accusing Tejal for nothing! Well, what's your problem? Aniket na? Go to hell with him"
Anushka: "What?? How dare…"
Vaibahvi: "Yes I dare. I dare to say that. GO TO HELL.. You alongwith your Aniket. My sister has no interest on him. Listened? No interest at all. Aniket was lucky that he got a chance to spend some time with my sister"
Tejal: "Vaibhavi, plzz. Keep quite. Don't create a scene here. See everyone's looking at us".
Vaibahvi: "Tejal, you are worried about people? Can't you see how this Anushka is insulting you?
Tejal: "Leave it Vaibhavi. Let's go. We don't need to bark too if the dogs around us do so".
Anushka: "What?? You are calling me a do..??"
Tejal ignored Anushka and grabbed Vaibhavi's arm. She started pulling her out of the disc hall. "Next time you come near my sister, I'll see you…", Vaibhavi was still looking back and warning Anushka.
They came upstairs and started walking towards the exit. Vaibhavi was bubbling with irritation. "Its okay Vaibhavi. Be cool. What is there to get angry? Leave it. A small mishap", Tejal tried to cool down the state.
They were walking towards the car parking lot when someone called Tejal. Both of them looked behind. To their surprise, Aniket was standing there. As they looked at him, Aniket came running towards them.
Aniket: "Tejal, why are you leaving so soon? You didn't tell me also. I wanted to talk to you.
Tejal: "Woh Aniket, we are pretty late so we thought it would be better if we leave now"
Aniket: "I was having a small talk with my friend. I thought after finishing with him I would invite you to join me for a drink. But you were not there only!! I looked everywhere downstairs. So I came up quickly and saw you leaving…"
Vaibahvi : "So what??"
"Excuse me!!", Aniket was taken aback by Vaibhavi's sudden aggression.
Vaibhavi: "So what is the big deal that she is leaving? Will she sit here whole night and give you company in your drinking session? I guess you have better company with you. Go and enjoy her company"
Aniket: "Excuse me, why are you talking like that? Did I say anything wrong?"
Vaibhavi: "Yes you said wrong. You were wrong in asking Tejal for giving you company. Tejal cannot sit here and entertain you whole night. You go down and search in the disc hall. I bet you'll get enough company and entertainer there. Now will you please excuse us?"
Tejal: "Vaibhavi, Plzz yaar. Don't shout like that. Aniket, I guess this is not the right time to talk. I'll talk with you later. Here, take my card. Call me. Okay? I'll tell you what happened. And I am very sorry for my sister's misbehavior".
Aniket took the card dumbfoundly and uttered a soft "Okay, Thanks".
Tejal looked tenderly into his eyes one last time and pulled Vaibhavi towards the car.
"Vaibhavi dear, why are you so hot headed? There was absolutely no reason to make all that fuss", Tejal said while making herself comfortable in the driver's seat. Vaibahvi was sitting on the passenger's side. She started the car.
Vaibhavi: "Shut up Tejal. You are my sister. How can I let anyone insult and run over you?"
Tejal: "Okay sis. But you need not yell on Aniket. Bechara!! He didn't do anything to deserve your screaming. There was no need to howl on him. Now how will I explain him?"
Vaibahvi: "Woh I'm sorry Tejal. I just couldn't control myself seeing the subject of your insult in front of me. My anger fell upon him and I .. By the way, way was he behaving so innocent? Like he doesn't know what happened in the hall?"
Tejal: "Maybe he genuinely didn't know anything!! Bechara.. Khamakha usse jhaad diya tune"
Vaibhavi didn't comment. Tejal also didn't comment further and continued driving.
Meanwhile, outside the "Starline" entrance gate, Aniket stood like a dumb for a few seconds after Tejal and her sister left. He suddenly couldn't grasp why Vaibhavi pounded upon him for nothing. Then he decided that he'll call Tejal later and ask the matter. He kept the card in his pocket and made his way to the disc hall downstairs.
"Hey Aniket, Where were you? I was searching for you since the show ended", Anushka came in front of him.
"I went to meet a friend Anushka. Where is Raghu?", Aniket tried to avoid her.
Anushka: "Raghu found a college friend suddenly. So he is busy with her. But where are you going? You are letting me alone?"
Aniket: "I'm not letting you alone Anushka. I was just going to tell Raghu that I want to leave now".
Anushka: "Why do you want to leave so soon?? I didn't get enough chance to spend time you. Come, let's sit in the bar".
Aniket did not like this. But he didn't want to upset Anushka. So he went to the bar counter with her and sat.
"Aniket, you'll drop me to home today. Okay?", Anushka fizzed.
Aniket: "Raghu is there na Anushka, he'll take you. Anyways, while coming here, you came with me.
Anushka: "So? What's the big deal? You will only take me back. No Aniket, I don't wanna go with Raghu. You are coming and that's final.
Aniket (giving up): "Okay"
Anushka: "Hmm.. Your songs were awesome Aniket. The praises I heard about you were less. You have a magic in your voice".
Aniket: "Thanks.. I too enjoyed performing today. Specially the last performance. Do you know, I felt like the lyrics were coming out of my heart".
Anushka (frowned): But whatever you sang, all seemed like coming out of out of you. You pour your compassion in every song, and that makes your songs magical.
Aniket smiled. They sat at the bar for a few more minutes and then left for home.
Tejal reached her flat and told Vaibhavi to stay with her. Even Vaibhavi was not willing to drive back home at this late hours. So, Tejal called up her Faibaa and informed that Vaibhavi was going to stay with her that night.
On the way back home, Anushka chatted nonstop in the car. Aniket was not liking this chatterer at the middle of night. But he didn't say anything and silently nodded to whatever she said. Finally after dropping her home, he sighed a breath of relief and went home.
Sushila was still awake and was waiting for Aniket to return. When Aniket came back, she told him to freshen up and come. In the meantime, she'll heat his food. Aniket told that he ate something at the hotel. Now he wasn't hungry. So, Sushila need not worry for it. He went upstairs. Sushila boiled milk, filled a glass and made her way towards Aniket's room. When she reached her room, she saw Aniket coming out of the washroom. Aniket was drying his wet hair. He saw Sushila coming inside.
Aniket: "Bhabhi, aap?"
Sushila: "Haan Aniket bhai, you didn't have dinner. So I thought a glass of warm milk would be better for you".
Aniket: "Thank you so much Bhabhi. Plz keep it on the table".
Sushila: "Aniket bhai, nowadays you are so busy that you don't get time to talk to me also".
Aniket took Sushila's hands in his hands and made her sit on the bed. He kneeled down in front of her.
Aniket: "Tell me Bhabhi, what you have to say? Now I'm free. I'll listen to each and every words you say.
Sushila: "Aniket bhai, almost whole day you stay outside and only return during dinner. And on weekends, you almost vanish. Binoy was asking yesterday if you stay at home or not".
Aniket smiles and tells how busy he remains the whole week for the practice sessions. And they have to dedicate more time since they were going to publish an album soon. On weekends, he goes to the big 5 star hotels of the city. So, he doesn't get time to spend time at home.
Aniket: "And bhabhi, when I sat idly at home, you all only told me to work na? So now, I am dedicating some time for my work".
Sushila holds Aniket's chin and tells, "I know Aniket bhai. But don't overstress yourself. You also have to take care of your own health. So tell me, nowadays you meet so many people. Did you meet anyone special?"
Aniket: "Special?? Not yet bhabhi. But when I'll meet that someone special, you'll be the first person to know".
Sushila: "I know my dear brother-in-law. Now, its time for you to sleep. It's pretty late and you are tired. Drink this milk and sleep quickly. Okay? I'll go now. Good night".
Aniket (smiling): "Good night Bhabhi".
He drank the milk and lied on bed. He closed his eyes. The day long memoirs came rushing to his mind. But surprisingly, the dance moment with Tejal, it was disturbing him. The flashbacks kept haunting him. He opened his eyes.
He remembered that he needed to call Tejal for knowing her reason of leaving early. But then he looked at the clock. It was 1:30 am. He decided to call her later. He closed his eyes again and tried to sleep. Again the moments spent with Tejal were disturbing him. Not that he minded but still he tried to drive away those images and concentrate on sleeping.
