I wanted to see Sharanya's character to grow but not grow dumb as it is happening right now. Can't understand why she never pushes the guys to answer any of her questions.

For all we know, it's all a culmination of the next major twist. I kept wondering as to what could be the possible reason for the CVs to dumb down Sharanya since she got her memories back...some of her actions are definitely not matching the plot that the CVs are trying to sell.

1. Her dropping hints in front of Vyom about her memory regaining.

2. Her flat out refusing to listen to any of Shiv's warnings.

3. Her hugging Vyom back out of reflex when he hugs her, but then getting conscious when she sees Shiv.

4. Her getting drunk despite being out with a man who is a possible criminal in her mind.

5. Her still being in save Vyom mode.

cvs cant make saranya with a full proof plan...it will reduce vyoom's stature to a typical villian...here he is the master planner...saranya shiv are just amateurs...they will show some flaws!! even vyoom misread saranya at kapali...so every character has their own time
so saving vyoom mode is just to gain confidence!!
if they play this hide n seek nobody will have anything to do...story has to move on...there is an underlying story to it...connecting bedis to their past...that has also to be discovered...
its just unimaginable to the audience how can heroines plan fail?!! but that is the beauty of the story!!
everyones plan failed at a point

1.vyoom:- tried to kill shiv...but saranya suffered in exchange,he came back

2.rajan:-supporting his son+covering up for his sins...total flop as fate is coming back

3.shiv-saranya :-vyoom is always a step ahead...not ready to give up

It's not exactly unimaginable to me if her plans flop, she is dealing with a diabolical mind and she definitely is not equipped to deal with it. But here's the catch...

1. Since AKK, we haven't gotten a single scene of Sharanya minus Shiv. We don't have an insight into her mind, no monologues to speak of. Yesterday, when Madhavi was about to tell her about the car, she diverted Madhavi's attention.

2. There are just too many secrets to handle. The Bedis do form a major chunk of it, but let's not forget, this show's title is "Ek Deewaana Tha". The dynamics and the secrets between the trio is bound to be different than the ones between the Bedis. If it was as plain as the one the CVs are showing right now, then there's no thrill left, because let's face it, the writers do a lot of fan-service and the fans of the two MLs forms 95% of the EDT fandom.

she was drunk...but imagine this if saranya is involved why was that chuda breaking scene for?!! to gain the trust of a ghost?!!! how illogical would it be?plus her dad died in the process!!
think from writers pov...if madhvi said sth about the car...vyoom is listening...next she will die(according to edt logic)...cant kill madhvi..so had to create a diversion and a dbt in vyoom's mind shiv is here hence he will have to act
it was saranya who called ajit to check out the car...to gain a ghosts trust?!! i don't think so...

yeah the titile...remember the one n one only shayari vyoom had? tumhe chaha tha kisi ne...jo ek deewana tha...

bedi's have some secrets...vyoom-madhvi-rajan(why vyoom is like this)
shiv-bedi's ( why he is an orphan)

also rajan helped vyoom in killing shiv to get rid of him for his own benefits too...

but if fan service could make a show run...then many shows wouldn't have gone off air...writers know it better...but again enough scenes are provided for both fandoms to enjoy...95% is a bit too much...TV audiences(indian) are mostly not the fans..they don't even know the names of the actors...or tweet to them...or follow on instagram!!

Sharanya probably is the protagonist with zero doubts on her, and she still does not remember anything regarding her equation with Vyom, all she remembered was whatever situations Shiv and she was involved in, but since Vyom came to sharanya's life even before shiv did, and they were besties in college, they must have had their equation too, there is a reason why she matters to Vyom so much and there is a reason why Vyom loves her so much, and if CVs do not intend to reveal this side of the back story then it will be a setback since their AKK backfired.
Sharanya suddenly feels so much for shiv, but she does not remember when she fell in love with him, but anyways that is not y point because she was also ready to die for Vyom till a month back and she did not even love him then, so it is not even effective when she claims to love shiv so much, because we know that in the first phase of the show, without any manipulation, she was ready to die, leave her family, fight a weird ghost for none other than Vyom, that cannot be only because she was sympathetic towards him or because he was a friend only, that was because there was a genuine and natural growth between the characters. But writers messed up badly since VaNya marriage, i have no problem if Sharanya loves Shiv, but at least build the connect, for gods sake one is a ghost and one is a human, they have zero intensity, zero build up and on top of that they behave like Teenagers now, sharanya sulks and shiv sulks back, like are you seriously kidding me ?

Love stories must be intense, VaNya had and still has the intensity, be it love or betrayal,we can see that Sharanya and Vyom share an equation, they read each other and try to out do each other, seek each others attention and sometimes just be plain intimate, and this was required more in Shiv Sharanya story because as makers suggested shiv is her soulmate and Vyom is the mad guy, but sadly we see and like what we get connected to. There is a reason why many people consider Vyom as Maya 2, the build up of his part of love was fabulous.

Since the beginning, Shiv hurt Sharanya much more than Vyom ever did. Shiv was the one who scared Sharanya, who made her restless, who cautioned her, who made her do silly things since the beginning. I think Sharanya went mad/crazy because of Shiv & accident also took place because of Shiv. Shiv is indirectly the person who needs to be blamed.

Soul connection happens only after you marry or when you meet somebody after decades & still find a connection or subconsicouly writing someone's initials without remembering them ~ So that is soul connection, but here it is not applicable between Shiv and Sharanya. Though Shiv and Sharanya were not shown as lovers in the promos from the beginning & FB also showed Love between Vyom and Sharanya, so I don't know how this sudden twist came up showing Shiv and Sharanya are Lovers. Shiv, Sharanya and Vyom might be Good Friends & still she finally married Vyom so Vyom and Sharanya are TRUE Real Soulmates because they knew each other before Shiv entered the screen. She could feel the pain for Vyom subconsciously and they spoiled the whole story by pulling in Manali track and intimate scenes between Shiv and Sharanya, which went wrong.

😊

@bold - Soap heroine always fail many, many times before they overthrow the villain. This failure is supposedly the test of their character.

As for the beauty of the story - Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. For me, there is only stretching without character growth. Drunk scenes are TRP/fan baits but rarely move anything storywise in any show.

It is hard for me to believe that Sharanya is faking and fooling the ghost. I think she had recovered only her partial memory without knowing everything about the past.
I will not rule out that in the past she was a complicated person who conspired with Vyom or even with Shiv for something darker such as conspired with Vyom to kill Shiv or with Shiv to fool Vyom hurting him in the process. This theory of grey Sharanya, though attractive - i so hope it comes true, will be very unusual for Indian TV which sticks to positive superwomen for their female leads.

As for Vyom-Sharanya - I never bought into Vyom's love or stories but did not expect the CVs to show he was faking the possession drama. It was a bit too much with the guy flying around. I was surprised when the marriage took place as ITV again rarely shows leads marrying if it is not for keeps, but now it is clear why they did it. They needed a reason for Sharanya to move in with the Bedis.

I am waiting to see Sharanya to think for herself - going out to investigate about HERSELF and find out who she was, not about what Vyom did or Shiv said. Did she have a life independent of these two guys? Did she have any dreams and aspirations other than getting married and producing a few kids?

I know I am waiting for the impossible. Women on TV don't have a life without a guy in the picture. 😆

It's difficult to answer such questions posted above... didn't saranya had a life without boys or sth like that! It's a daily soap n is supposed to be watched as one... nobody claims it has perfect narrative...
Some connect to vvyoom-saranya some to shiv saranya...it depends on main leads fans...since Donal is a first time lead... that' y it is a triangle story...it's perfectly normal...
From narrative point...v can't always write scenes with intensity
It will become monotonous for actors performing...
Fawad khan's shows never had intense scenes but still they convey emotions required!!
Also for the people who followed beyhad religiously could connect Maya n vyoom...for me vyoom is completely new...
Ps:- it's purely my point of view...I rest my case...

Thanks for all of your inputs guys! 😃

Trust me, nothing beats the stimulation of a good debate where everyone is providing logical input, regardless of the show's illogicality for some time now. 😆

@Krish Yes, you are right, it doesn't make sense for Sharanya to be Team Vyom. My personal theory is that she's Team Rajan. Once again, I could be wrong, but things can't be as simple as they're looking. Whatever she does or says against Vyom is always in front of Shiv. As I've said before, we are yet to see a scene of Sharanya where she's alone with her thoughts. She has been constantly been stalked by these two crazy men since the day she has woken up from coma! Vyom had his own humanly limitations but Shiv is another story. 🥱

@Karaali Did you know, after a point of time, me and Afreen stopped ranting about VaNya's joblessness because it was useless. 😆
Forget them, I never see anyone in the show ever going to work or being in office- not even Rajan! I kept wondering as to where is the money coming from, then I realised it's useless to ask. And yes, mostly, it's the past I'm talking about. There are just too many gaps and some things that the characters have said or done does seem a little significant in the possibility of a past that is not as black and white as it looks right now.

@Sundas W.O.R.D on the take on intensity. I think a lot of it has to do with the writing and the acting as well. In most of the ShivAnya scenes, I see Donal overdoing the sulking/cutesy part whereas during the VaNya scenes, the flow is spontaneous and never overdone. Shiv is either looking like a angry kid or a sulky kid. It may look cute in other situations, but here we are taking a supposed "Deewaana" into consideration. In that regard, I prefer his scenes with Vyom more than Shanny.
