Frankly, I found it quite lacking.
Among sisters, I really liked Sara as Anjini and Ishu. Rest of the cast - I will have to watch more to decide.
I found Debjani's character has been modified to be typical desi soap heroine - sweet, innocent, fights for downtrodden, etc...etc...Dabbu is lot more than that. While reading the book I never ever thought Dabbu to be a typical heroine and Debjani that I saw on TV was no different from tons of telly heroines. I was shocked to realize this.
Mamta is quite wise and not does not cry on drop of hat. I don't know I liked Mamtaji a lot in the book and I like Supriya a lot as an actor but somehow she is not being given correct brief from director it seems.
Aamir as Dylan - I can live with that.
Five sisters - most of the sisters have darker shades which go beyond typical jealousy that we see in desi soaps. They are not so paly-paly as shown in the show.
Bhudevi isn't outright bad. Actually, she cares for Dabbu. Didn't connect with her character. But the actor is good. Would love to see her reaction on seeing Hot Dulari 😉
Overall - disappointed. But hope it improves.
