Mayank Anand's fans rejoice as the autographed copies of his debut novel, "Love from the Sidelines', has been made available on A1 books. After all the interviews and hype created for the book, his fans are dying to grab a copy of their own!

The book's publishers, Leadstart Publishing, have made available a limited number of autographed copies of the book for his enthusiastic fans online on a1books for the Indian fans; meanwhile, his worldwide fans can order the autographed copy online.

"A lot of fans used to come to the sets to meet all of us. It is overwhelming to receive so much love and respect from them. I just wanted to share my book with them, but my publishers and manager insisted on having the copies autographed," adds the humble actor, famous for his role as Dr. Rahul in Dil Mill Gayye.

Excerpt from the first chapter of his book.

"I catch myself staring into nothing with a stupid ass grin on my face. I try to distract myself by doing laundry and watching television, but again…

A few minutes into these mundane tasks…

I catch myself staring into nothing with a stupid ass grin on my face.

There is a beat to my step now.

Almost like a dance.

From the head banging noise of Heavy Metal and the thump! Thump! Thump of House and Trance, I'm back to the melody of music and lyrics again.

Bryan Adams makes me smile.

James Blunt seems to be singing just for me.

And, embarrassingly enough, even Celine Dion and Aretha Franklin make sense.

The evening breeze whispers music in my ears and I, giving lyrics to the music, have a sudden urge to sing out loud and dance the Tango.

Or the Waltz.

(I don't know how to dance either of them but I still feel like it.

Come to think of it, I'm sure he does.

He seems like a person who would know.

He seems to know everything anyway.

Perhaps he can teach me and then we can dance together.)

Movies are not just a way to kill time anymore.

A Walk in the Clouds makes me cry.

Pretty Woman is Oh! So beautiful.

Notting Hill makes me jump up and scream.

And James Dean makes my knees go week again.

I keep going back to Erich Segal's Love Story to read my favorite passages.

Passages that I had underlined a long time ago.

Had remembered word for word.

And then, over the years, had buried them in the confines of my past.

I remember these passages again.

Word for word.

Random people on the streets smile at me now. And I smile back and say Hello!

Driving in my car I find myself having conversations with myself.

Conversations I'd like to have with him.

Happy conversations.

Fun conversations.

Even my clothes fit better now.

And I painted my nails today after what seems like years.

Every time I see a Green Honda CRV, I think it's him.

Every time the phone rings, I wish it's him.

He is the first thought in my mind when I wake up.

He is the last thought in my mind before I sleep.

I dream of him all night long.

I think of him all day. "
