When Dil Se Dil Tak began airing from January 2017, it was a promising TV show based on the movie starring Salman Khan, Rani Mukerji and Preity Zinta titled Chori Chori Chupke Chupke (2001).
The show initially starred Sidharth Shukla, Rashami Desai and Jasmin Bhasin. However, things took a turn for the worse when Sidharth started having major creative differences with the makers of the show and eventually quit in December 2017. He was replaced by Rohan Gandotra. Recently, Rashami too quit the show.
With so many problems on the horizon to add on to the show, Dil Se Dil Tak will be going off air on May 28, according to Times of India.
Jasmin spoke about how she refuses to believe that the show is going off air and said to TOI, "I think these are just rumours; the show is not going off air. If it happens, it will be a very sad moment in my life. The ratings in the last few weeks may have been low, but it's just a phase. This happens to all the shows. Our show has always had a good concept and it should continue."
When it comes to the low ratings for Dil Se Dil Tak, Rohan said, "It's true that the ratings are not as high as we had expected them to be. I feel that the viewers were not able to connect with the track that revolved around one man living with two wives. Also, the ongoing cricket tournament is eating into the viewership of almost all fiction shows. I am not aware of the show going off air yet, but it is highly possible."
