So true. I don't understand what's the point of butchering Viraj's character and gravitating it away so much from the initial sketch to being ridiculously farcical. Obviously the writers have totally lost their bearings on this one but I wish they'd put in a little thought into the fact that it isn't always pleasing to the viewers when they see the lead protagonist being catapulted from one extreme of the spectrum to the other.
Really disappointed. The Viraj we were accustomed should have figured out RaghaVi's motives by now and actually shouldn't even have let it escalated beyond a mere fizzle. Ofcourse "Jhanvi's redemptiion and Viraj's demise" will be on the cards but my point is that the transition isn't smooth and, quite honestly, looks rushed and fake.
They're really overdoing his whole villanous-esque nature.
Thank you! You just summed up everything right here rather brilliantly.
@bold: That's what I've been saying. No matter how much people claim that this is the same Viraj we've been seeing since December they're wrong. This is not the same Viraj we've been seeing since December. So many people wouldn't have claimed they are dumbing Viraj if this was how he was since December. However, I got sparks of Viraj's brilliance when he figured out Raghav's footprints on Friday's episode. The CVs don't show that side to Viraj anymore. The observant, intelligent side.
Replying to the actual topic, I don't get the point of turning Viraj into the Joker either. Is it for one scene where he tries to scare Jhanvi in that get-up? Will it have some kind of connection to the entire story?
I don't get the point, honestly. The Spiderman bit, I laughed at that because it was funny and unexpected. But again, what was the point? Making Viraj do all these sub-standard things, you are just ridiculing the character. Ever since this whole Raghav/Sia vs. Viraj nonsense started the CVs are either dumbing Viraj down or adding unnecessary things to his character trying to make him goofy just to enhance the unnecessary characters.
Viraj will still be the only interesting character in this show for me but I do want the old Viraj back. The intelligent, suave, brutally honest, hygienic Viraj.
There is no fun in defeating Viraj if you are going to ridicule the very character that made this show popular.
Although I think KVB's talent isn't getting wasted, well not entirely. IMO, Viraj is the only character in this show that gives an actor any scope to perform.
I wonder how they went about this whole Joker thing. Hopefully it isn't as goofy as the Spiderman one.
