As the Nach Baliye juggernaut rolls on Star One from October 11, several existing Star One shows will get bulldozed in the Tuesday to Thursday 9 pm slot. The casualty list includes Instant Khichdi on Tuesday, the repeat episodes of Bluff Master on Wednesday and Dil Kya Chahta Hai on Thursday.
According to a channel spokesperson, "The Nach Baliye episodes on Tuesday and Wednesday will be of half-hour duration, while on Thursday, it will be a one-and-a-half hour special."
This has made the weekly Hotel Kingston which is on Thursdays get rescheduled too.
For Instant Khichdi it was the second season as it was earlier on Star Plus as simply Khichdi. Maybe it will be back after yet another hiatus as Readymade Khichdi perhaps?
The Vinod Sherawat anchored game show Bluff Master, produced by Siddhartha Basu (Kaun Banea Crorepati 2, Mum Tum Aur Hum) airs on Friday, with repeat telecast on Wednesdays. It is learnt that no fresh episodes have been shot for this show recently.
While for Dil Kya Chahta Hai, it is a final curtain call. For Kavita Kaushik who recently entered the show as a tapori called Nari, it has been a short-lived character.
While the rest of the cast — Gaurav Chopra, Samir Sharma, Vikram Acharya, it is goodbye time from this urban take on the lives of close friends.
The show takes a look at their friendships, the problems they face and how they tackle it in funny ways. Samir Soni, who was seen as one of the four potagonists, left the show earlier.
Gaurav Chopra who plays the actor Raghu in the show, says, "Yes, the show is winding up. We are shooting for the final episodes. The bunch of guys now have to go their own ways. The final episodes will be also extremely energetic, in keeping with the theme of the show."
For the channel, obviously, it was a case of dil nahin chahta hai for the show. [email protected] |
| A still from Hotel Kingston | Hotel Kingston on Wednesdays Shelly Sahai (Sonal Sehgal) and Vishwamitra Kelkar's (Amit Verma) saga in Hotel Kingston on Star One continues in a new time slot — on Wednesday at 9.30 pm, instead of Thursday at that hour. So Shelley, the hotel owner's daughter, and her love-hate relationships with Vish, the GM of the hotel, remain unaffected by Nach Baliye's dance steps. | |
