Dia Mirza will appear on the Star One show Dil Kya Chahta Hai, as part of a planned promotion for her upcoming film Dus. There is also a "Win-a-date with Dia" contest, which will be announced on the show by radio jockey Akki.
On the show, Dia comes on air to speak about Dus and encourages viewers to enter the contest.
Thursday's track goes like this—a geeky business journalist Nitin is thrilled at the prospect of winning the date and rigs the contest.
This gets his friend Akki in trouble with his bosses. Raghu, the duo's theatrical friend, becomes Nitin's mentor and helps him get ready for the date.
Suave businessman Ram is trying to get an extremely superstitious partner to sign a big deal.
But the partner keeps postponing the moment, as he feels the time is not auspicious. He has only one weakness—Dia Mirza—and is waiting for the release of her film Dus.
Ram comes to know of this and gets his partner to go on the date that Nitin has won with Dia. In a comedy of errors, all four (Akki, Nitin, Raghu and Ram) land up on the date, much to Dia's confusion.
Dia says she is thrilled with the idea of her cameo on Star One. "It is a win-win situation.
The film gets mileage, I get noticed by my fans, and the channel hopefully will get better ratings for the show. Everyone benefits with this kind of tie-up."
