It is one of the most painful episodes for me.. It is a prelude to another death, the death of a family, death of a beautiful bond between a father & his children, death of a trust.. Anu's death was a cruel twist of fate, can't blame it on anybody (though Mr i-know-it-all Kapoor thinks differently), but this one, this death is not fated, it is because of one man's stupidity, another man's thirst for vengeance and a corrupt system.
I am not going scene by scene today...
I wanted to strangle the police guy when he said Anu struggled to be alive, but Ram callously murdered her.. Really? The postmortem indicated such? A startling example of how corrupt the system is. One rich, influential & vengeful man pulls the string, and the puppets are dancing.. Can we expect any sort of justice here? I remember discussing about how any court of law would not give Ram a lengthy or rigorous sentence (even if it can't be proved that Anu wanted the system to be turned off or Anu herself did the act) as it is not a cold blooded murder, but a case of passive euthanasia.. But Mr. Kapoor and his police cronies are doing everything in their power to make it look like a preplanned murder, well done guys!! Do your worst!! But remember, you are only beating a dead horse, does it going to matter to him whether he gets life sentence or death sentence once his family is lost to him (His wife to death, and his children to Mr. Kapoor's cunningness).
So, it is Ram himself who takes away the Ashthi kalash, because he is determined to the ashes immersion. And he does it under the watchful eyes of the police, because the police were too busy setting the plot to hang him. Disha's trust is weakening, you can see it in her less forceful defence of her father. What else can she think? There are so many things not adding up, so many unanswered questions, and even the neighbours are talking.. Why all these happening , because of one wrong advice, one wrong move. :(
Ram Ahuja is not the strongest of the men, even at the best of the times. We have seen enough evidences to this fact, from the way Anu can twist him around her little finger to the way he never talks against or raises his voice to Mr. Kapoor. But he is a responsible family man, a man who has extreme love for his wife and kids. What makes such man run away in the presence of his kids, certainly not the fear of his life or freedom, then what? Is it his GFN friend's continuous prompting? Or his determination to do the immersion of ashes at any cost? Is he planning to surrender after the ashes immersion? Guess, we will never know as he is going to be met with an accident.
The scene was not very well done.. How is it possible for Disha not to notice the police man chasing her father? When it happened, it looked like Disha did notice, but when she was talking to Aarav, she was equally clueless about why Ram run away after asking them to come there.. And the kids assumed Ram had seen little Aarav falling down, still didn't come back.. I really don't know whom to feel more sorry for..
It is so painful to see the bossy & bubbly Aarav looking so subdued and lifeless. He misses his father and confused why his father not attended him when he fell down.. How can you console this kid...
Mr. Kapoor in Anu's old room, a lengthy monologue about what a pampered princess she was, how she wanted the best of everything, how Ram kept her in such shabby conditions for 18 years to finally kill her, blah, blah, blah,.. Ok, I will concede that Pankaj Dheer acted superbly.. But, but such kind of self righteous men just disgusts me.. The men who think they are always on the right, who think they can never do anything wrong, who think they know the best for everybody.. They are much more dangerous than the real baddies who know they are bad.. These sort of men can create havocs, change the lives upside down, all in the name of justice & setting the things right,.. Ram's already tried, found guilty and sentenced to death in Mr. Kapoor's mental court. How sad for him that he can't mentally hang Ram... Btw, Mr. Kapoor. It is the same Anu who chose to live with Ram over all the material comforts you could give, could it be because she considered Ram as the best? And if Ram couldn't give her the same luxuries, that's because of you again, you blocked his much deserved success, and that's why he couldn't earn enough to keep your daughter in the laps of luxury. Ultimately, you are the one to be blamed, Mr. Kapoor...
One question I have here. Didn't we see in an earlier episode that he doesn't want any of Anu's things in his home.. Didn't he say repeatedly that he doesn't care a damn about her, then why the hell he still maintain her room as it is.. Very contradictory behaviour..
Another confrontation between police and Disha, As I said, Disha'a defences are no more vehement, guess, the seed of doubt is planted which will be watered & nourished by our GFN Karan., Can a policeman really threaten a minor girl this way? Oh yeah, why can't he when he has the backup of mighty Kapoors.
And here comes the Frenemy, the cowardly guy who has easy to access to Ahuja house, but still called from a public booth in a changed voice to inform the kids to come to meet Ram, (no doubt, to save his own skin in the event of the meeting being found out). The police guys are real dumbos, here is a man who is behaving weirdly, so jittery, so nervously, and Police has no doubts on him? Yeah, Mr. Kapoor didn't ask them to think, just do what he wants to be done.
Hadn't Karan done enough damage already? Apparently he thinks differently.. He delivers his final blow, the half truth or the truth as he know. He tells Disha (in the presence of Aarav) that her father indeed killed her mother.. What was he thinking., oh I forgot, he needs a brain to think.. Disha is shattered.. I do believe she would have been more understanding if she heard it from Ram himself, and the full truth.. But, but, the combination of Karan's stupidity and the fate (Ram's accident in the precap) ensures that it doesn't happen..
Precap: Disha asks Ram (who called from Nasik) whether he killed her mom, Ram tries to buy time saying he will explain in person, but Disha wants a Yes / No. Literally speaking, It should be a No, as Ram didn't pull the plug himself, but Ram does feel responsible for the act, so what will be the answer? A dazed Ram getting hit by a truck..
Now it is kind of clear that the kids are indeed going to hate Ram. In a way it is good, as it will make their stay with Mr. Kapoor easier as there won't be any conflicts. I think Disha would still wait for a face to face confrontation with Ram before making up her mind about Ram's guilt. Alas, Ram is going to meet with an accident, and not going to come back anytime soon, which will prove him to be guilty of all charges in Disha's eyes. It is good of the makers to let the accident happen in Nasik as it is more believable that way if no one knows of his accident, obviously Ram is not carrying a phone or any other identifications with him. I think Ram will come back once he recovers, but by the time his children would have settled down with the granddad, most probably Disha will reject him and hurt him with words, which will be the ultimate blow that breaks him down. Will he go to prison or will he just wander out and get lost in misery, either is possible. And Disha will become the next pampered princess of Mr. Kapoor, until the history repeats itself and she falls for another middle class guy.
