I expected the initial part of the show to be pretty straightforward, didn't expect any suspense or twists & turns.. I thought they will show the happy family with emphasis on the bonding between all the members, then slowly take us through wife's sickness, ending with her death and the real story would start..

But the makers are proving me wrong time and again... They are continuously keeping us on our toes.. Yes, we still know that Anu would die, but there are so much of suspense elements woven as part of the script, when I say 'suspense', I don't mean any of the so called 'mystery' tracks Sony shows are famous (or should I say notorious) for.. The suspense is part of the story, what happens next, what will Ram do next to arrange money, how Anu would react, so on and so forth,. Hats off to the script writer to make this track damn interesting and at the same time realistic..

My first reaction at the end of today's episode... Poor Ram Kapoor (the actor), why does he always endup playing a character which is wrapped around the little finger of the wife character ;). In BALH, Priya knew very well how to make her hubby dance to her tunes, and now it is Anu's turn ;)

Typically we say, 'Man proposes, God disposes'. Here it is 'Ram proposes, Anu disposes'.. Yes, Ram is coming with idea after idea after to arrange for money, and Anu consistently nixes all of them with her unbreakable logic and at the end with her blackmail.. What do you do with this woman, Ram is exasperated and me too...

There are no scene of kids today, but I didn't miss them actually, the episode was fast paced and lot happened actually, though Ram is still at the same place where he started...

The best scene of today, the last scene where Anu tells Ram about how she too has a huge contribution in his compositions, describing each occasion in their lives when he composed a song.. Such a sweet scene between the couple. Perfect way to show their life long bond., Ram is speechless against her logic.. And he opening his mouth in vain multiple times (to counter) and finally conceding was so cute.. Yes, Ram had made some valid arguments too, if she is not going to be with him to enjoy his dream & success (of publishing his compositions) what is the point in him achieving his dream. Yes, for him, she is more important than his dream, as I said yesterday, he can make more compositions is she is alive and be with him as his inspiration, but without her, his life is meaningless.. But Anu claims she would always be with him (in spirit). What will Ram say to this.. Finally he is fed up of these arguments and decides to take the file with the compositions to sell, Anu uses her Brahmastra, she won't adhere to her promise (of not attempting to end her life) if he doesn't promise not to sell the compositions.. Poor Ram, he is just stunned..

Ok, how did we arrive at this situation., because Anu managed to nix the idea of using the FDs. It is logical that Ram needed Anu's signature to break the FD as she is the one who made it and the kids are minors.. Again some beautiful dialogues and valid arguments.. Both are right, but I am with Ram more than with Anu because I strongly believe everything else in life can be earned back, except life itself...

The first scene of the day, Ram making his wife feel beautiful (inspite of her bald head) by gifting her a red rose, lovey gesture...

Ram comes up with the next idea, selling his compositions. Here comes the obnoxious (and stupid) BIL who is ready to buy the compositions, but Ram won't get any credit for them... I guess, it is a pretty realistic scenario in music industry, lesser known artists selling out because of the need for money.. The BIL can't believe his ears when Ram agrees, but Ram wants 10L, BIL bargains for 25k for each composition, wonder how many compositions Ram has.,,

There was a minor scene of Anu with nurse who is listening to one of Ram's songs.. I guess, this scene made Anu realise that her hubby's next money making attempt would be with his compositions.. She is such a smart cookie who knows her husband in and out.. She smartly arranges for the file to be brought to her bedside.. I think both the Kapoor girls are pretty smart, inherited from mighty Mr. Kapoor..

The Kapoor mansion scene today was very good today, shown Mr. Kapoor's opinions about his two SILs, he doesn't have much regard for Manav (the second SIL), he was telling Manika (his second daughter) about how every album by Manav (guess, Manav's business decisions) failed, and all of them are loss makers for the company.. Manav comes in vowing to change the fortunes, he tells Mr. Kapoor about his deal with Ram, and we get to know that Ram's talent is vey much respected in the industry and acknowledged by Mr. Kapoor.. Mr. Kapoor is furious, how can he let Ram earn fame through his own company when he successfully stalled Ram's success for so many years.. Manav reveals the whole story, how they will use Ram's talent, but not his name.. Mr, Kapoor can't believe that Ram will agree to it as he is always more interested in name than money.. Manav proves his stupidity by saying maybe Ram wants to buy a second hand car. Mr. Kapoor doesn't heed to his suggestion, Ram willing to sell the compositions makes him think.. Manika tries to divert him, by asking from when he started bothering about Ram, but I don't think she succeeded in her mission.. The wheels are turning in Mr, Kapoor's head..

I liked the friend character today, I guess his name is karan or Kabir.. He was sensible in trying to dissuade Ram from selling the compositions.. But, Ram is adamant, who will not be in his position...

Precap : Aarav showing Disha a magazine with Mr, Kapoor's pic on the cover, Disha trying to call him... And a crying Anu with Ram, sorry didn't catch the dialogue here...

p.s : The last 4 episodes were very good, the script is tight, the technical aspects perfect, and Acting outstanding.. Can't believe that the same team made those couple of episodes last week.

Great take :)
Yesterday when I mentioned that I wasn't into the episode as much, unlike the other ones, well today, it definitely covered up for it. I'm really really loving the episodes shown this past and last Thursday's as well.

One of the things that I really like about this show is that they are keeping it real to an extent. Like, there are several shows that initially begin with a rather realistic concept, but then somehow it turns to be so unrealistic and it's like the audience cannot even connect anymore- this show, considering it's new, still looks pretty realistic to me and I'm sure it will maintain that way.

I also remembered Priya today, how she used to get Ram to do pretty much everything she wanted in such a way, and now it's Anu :.) These two are a very cute couple :)

As much as it is a delight to watch the kids, today even I didn't miss them. I didn't find anything missing in today's episode even though the kids weren't there.

Today's scenes of Anu-Ram were amazing. Dialogues were on point, expressions were on point, acting was on point, pretty much everything was perfect. Initially I didn't really like these two as a couple, but now I'm actually thinking that they're quite good together. I love love love the scenes they shot today of these two, perfect :)

I'm going to be perfectly honest and say that I didn't really put much concentration into the Mr. Kapoor scene and all, frankly, I hardly understood what he was trying to say. Either he speaks too quiet, or my volume doesn't do its job even when it's at 40, or maybe I'm just one step closer to being deaf :P

Yeah, this friend character was good today. I'm hoping to see more of him in these upcoming episodes. Would like to see a nice bond, something like Vikram and Ram in BALH? Let's look out for that.

There was another thing I wanted to add. According to the recently posted article spoken by Mahima, Ram will leave Disha after Anu's death. First off, I don't know what that exactly means. Second off, and the most important, WHAT ABOUT AARAV?! And third off, Disha only looks about 15-16, not legal for her to live alone, and she definitely needs her dad with her, no matter how independent and mature she is. Looking out for that!

Overall, great great great episode as usual. As usual, waiting for tomorrow's :)

They are showing us the pain, struggle and anguish that each family member is going through and this is needed. Love the fact that both Ram and Anu are right from both their respective perspectives. Unless you know how much and to what extent they love each other, I guess you cannot connect to the story afterwards.

Agree, Geetha. They are not keeping it straight and yet it is realistic, the struggle a family which is not financially well-off goes through during medical crisis...makes you realise how important medical insurance is. The FDs scene where Anu vetoes the idea, it is so connectible. You don't want to touch something that belongs to your children...even though Ram is right that they can always save some more for the children.

Haha...the curse of RK, always having an on-screen wife who is able to twirl him around!

Well, I can connect with Anu here...no woman wants to leave her family and go. But if it's almost impossible to survive, then the matter becomes different altogether. Money spent on a futile treatment could be saved for the future of the children. But the kids would much rather have their mom, everyone is right from where they stand.

Anu knows her hubby so well...she realises he will sell his music for her. She has so much faith in Ram and his talent. ...pity that she won't live to see him shine (at least I think that is what is going to happen in the future).

What will Ram do is the question. Will he go against Anu and sell his music. That's sad but like Ram says, he can always compose more music but he cannot bring Anu back. Their conversation was beautiful...esp the part where Anu tells Ram that she's always been a part of his compositions.

Agree Geetha, everything can be earned back...including respect but not a loved one's life. It's such a sad situation to be in.

The romantic Ram with the rose, it was indeed a lovely gesture.

Mr Kapoor, the father-in-law is a sharp guy. Though the second son-in-law lives in his house, it's clear Mr Kapoor doesn't think highly of him. And somewhere, he does have some respect for Ram because he says he's sure Ram will not sell his compositions for money. The second son-in-law saying that maybe Ram wants to buy a second hand car...really the guy is a nut!

I wonder if Ram's friend is going to be an important pillar of support in the future. ...seems he is also connected to the music industry. The friend seems to be more of a practical person.

Disha calling her grandfather in the precap is realistic. She wants to save her mother at any cost and I think any of us would do this. The repercussions of this act...will be interesting to see. Would Mr Kapoor put any conditions to Ram to help Anu? Perhaps ask him to go away?

Geetha, one thing I have noticed. People want change in their tv shows. They keep complaining about the same old "saas-bahu" as it is called and same old BT formula. But if something different is tried, it doesn't find the support it should. That's why I firmly believe that change has to come from the audience...only then will the producers be brave to try something different. And finite series is the way to go!

Yes Sanjana, it is very realistic for now.. And we can hope that they maintain the realism..

Yes, Ram & Anu make a cute couple, I can understand the initial reluctance to accept the couple, after watching BALH for long, the names Ram & Priya become synonymous with each other..

Yes, today's scene were just perfect and dialogues were so relatable, I am sure I would talk the exact same words (though in a different language) in the same situation..

Hahhaha, yes, Mr. Kapoor does talk in an undertone, probably to make the character subtly menacing ;). But Pankaj Dheer is doing a good job in the role too.. Basically Mr. Kapoor's interest is piqued why Ram wants to sell his compositions without any credit to his name and how is Anu allowing it..

Yes, read that article.. It seems the article is kind of of confusingly worded.. I don't think the kids will be left alone, it could mean that Kids are left with Mr, Kapoor (or he forcibly takes them).. Anyway, I am not sure, and there are so many twists happening, let's wait & watch the story to unfold..

Yup, overall a great week so-far, hope the trend continues...

Very True Suganthi, this phase of the show is very crucial for the future tracks. Moreover they are not just showing pain and anguish now, but also how each member of the family (Ram trying hard to find the means to save Anu, kids praying, Disha searching about the treatment options, Aarav wanting to contribute his piggy bank savings) doing their bit to save Anu..

Yes, the beauty of the show is everyone is right in their POV, and it makes the story damn interesting..

Yes, Mr, Kapoor hates Ram (sounds ironic, isn't it), but he does respect Ram's talent and also the determination.. Nice bit of info, would be interesting to watch their duals..

Yes, Disha is justified in calling her granddad, it is same as Ram trying every possible means to raise money..

I don't know whether Mr, Kapoor would put any condition, a possibility indeed, he does hate Ram to the extreme, but is he that much of a villain to break a family? And if he is indeed, what will be Ram's reaction? So many questions..

Hahahha, true Suganthi, people crib about the quality of the shows, but when we do get some decent show, there isn't much enthusiasm. Really wish this show garners a niche audience who appreciate sensitivity and realism.. The show certainly deserves success..

I can't find a WU in this Forum... I couldn't watch it... And Sony has no repeat telecasts what so ever. How do they expect us to follow their shows if they don't show a repeat at any time whatsoever? We watch many shows in many channels.. We juggle through them by watching another telecast... I guess, I won't get to watch this. Nice take!
