My Take
IT WAS AN AMAZING EPISODE! I think, it was the best till date. The story line finally came back on track after a lot of diversions, hence the title of this post, Dil Ki Baatein. It was truly about dil ki baatein, Ram's, Anu's, Disha's, Aarav's, and the audience's and the heart of the show itself!!!!! Superb!
I missed the first few minutes, but, I saw in the flashback, that Disha comes to know she has cancer. High time, she did. Though I wanted her, to be told by AnRa, yes, AnRa won, and I am so happy, xD, anyways, I would have missed Disha - Ram confrontation then.
But even before the high intense scene, was another heart wrenching one, when Ram stares at Anu, dejected and grieved, Disha crying and the neighbours there to help them. The doctor guy got replaced. This guy is fine too...
The neighbours are too nice to be true. Still, no complaints, I loved it. Ya, Ram, was looking at her, presumably, thinking about the happy memories they shared, and whether she would survive.
Now, Disha confronted Ram to the point. Her acting was brilliant. And I find her quite talented actually.
It is true, she put two and two together, and asks about trust and belief. I loved Ram's reply. He had no choice. He isn't trying to give her false assurances, tells her he is helpless. But, though he himself is broken, he give some strength to Disha that now is the time when they have to stand with Anu and not indulge in such petty things.
He goes in to meet Anu first. I think this scene in the hospital room, with Anu on the bed, clearly dying and sick, and a dying husband Ram, someone who is dying from the inside as he is able to do nothing as death approaches his wife, was by far the BEST in the show.
Anu doesn't want treatment, wants to go home. Ram obviously doesn't agree, finally Anu asks for wish 3. No surprises here. She wants to die. Ram doesn't let her, refuses to fulfil her wish.
His pent up emotions, come out now. He yells at her, he doesn't care what she thinks he is, he isn't allowing her to go away. He tells her, Disha was questioning him, he had no answer. How could she not think about the kids? It was an excellent scene, brilliant dialogues. Ram scolds her. He is right. Anu is right. But in life, we don't get to choose between right and wrong. That is very easy. We need to choose between two rights and two wrongs, and THAT isn't easy at all.
He tells her about the specialist with high success rate, and Anu asks him the guarantee for survival.
There is no guarantee for anything in life. It isn't those people who suffer from diseases, it is everyone. All of us just live with the ummed' that Ram told her. There isn't a guarantee, there is hope.
The last dialogue, when Ram warns her to behave herself' as he is sending the kids in, was just wonderful! It wasn't completely serious or completely jovial. It was perfect.
Anu is so cute when she gives him a thumbs up. God show mercy on this woman.
The next scene almost brought tears to my eyes. My own Mum was in the kitchen, and I thought of her, and realised, I had to give it up for all the Moms in the world!
A BIG SHOUT OUT TO MOTHERHOOD AND MOTHERS FOR JUST BEING IN OUR LIVES!
The kids just stand there, looking at her, crying, and then, they run as she opens their arms. All three of them cry.
And Anu recovers first, such is a mother, she is clearly in pain with what she told Ram, about the effects of chemotherapy, it hurts her, she is burning, yet she immediately composes herself for her kids.
She tells them she is completely fine and reminds them about what Dad said, something about sadness and happiness.
The doctor's scene was expected. Nothing much to say about that. He is frank and clear. Btw, it is an oncologist. not cancer doctor. LOL.
*standing ovation*
P.S. I am actually going out for a couple of days. Won't be able to comment or even try to come on IF. Will try my best though. Do give in your views... <3
