Yesterday's episode showed a little bit of unrealism, but I was hoping today would actually cover up for it.
1.) I mean, are you SERIOUS? No restaurant manager would let anyone go that way. I mean, alright, Ram is being the typical Hindi "Aashiq" at the moment, but the owner doesn't know him personally, does he? Neither does he know Anu? How is he bound to believe his story in any way whatsoever? 😲
On Ram's role, this was just sheer carelessness. Nobody, even in their extreme drunk states would take steps as these. Anu KNEW he was drunk, she could have retained the party at the particular moment instead of scolding him. But she didn't. She scolded him a little, and just let it go. I honestly don't find this cute, in any way if I think about it logically. 😕
2.) The scene when they're shopping together and the people are watching them is pretty cute. Oh, let's not hold it back over there, they both just overflow all extents of cuteness. (no sarcasm intended) 🥱
3.) He hasn't paid rent for four months? WHATT? This is a middle class family we're talking about, right? And wait a minute..how many days exactly has it been since they came to visit Jodhpur? I mean, they were staying in the house before they visited the new place, right? And the house owner is really that kind? I mean he hasn't asked them for rent in those 4 months or even if he has, hasn't enforced it at the end of two months at the most. What a large hearted man. Everybody seems pretty large hearted in the show, even if the feelings aren't realistic.😆
4.) Okay, the frustration of Ram in the scene, is understandable. But seeing him getting destructively physical, with the doctor, who he intends to look up to in drastic terms of needs for his wife seems to be pretty extreme. Also, if I may say so, it seemed pretty cliched to me. I mean, we see heroes strangling doctors for their personal needs almost everywhere. That's what made the scene so predictable, but also not fair. Not to the doctor, after all, where is the poor guy at fault? He has a life of his own, other patients who might even be at more serious conditions. Moroever, the poor guy doesn't even know why he's being strangled? How does he know Anu has cancer unless told calmly and in a detailed manner?
5.) And alright, Ram, we understand you love your wife more than anything in the world and would give anything to fulfill her last wishes, but come on. I think her first and foremost wish would be that you pay the rent of the house you both and your kids are staying in, at the moment, rather than buy her a Rs.500 painting she doesn't even think is worth the price. We know you're prodigious hearted but you need to be a bit pragmatic there too, big guy. You have two kids, you should be teaching THEM all this currently. 😳
6.) The rest of the episode was serious and a little bit rational in comparison, so no takes on that but another issue that is really worrying is WHEN would they tell the kids? It's going to come as a GREAT and a very PAINFUL burden on Ram if they don't tell them before their mother passes away. Not only about Anu's disease, but also about the family Anu comes from and what consequences can be met after the mother lives no more. Especially Disha, because being a teenager myself, I realize that if I would have not been told by my parents about such dire conditions, in the family, I know I would be absolutely devastated. Not only because of the lies, but also because there would be a different way I would bid goodbye to my mother knowing it would be the last one I ever bid. 😕
7.) Lastly, the father daughter chemistry. Gosh. It's so cuddly cute, no complaints on that one. Seriously. 😊

I'm all done here, hope you guys like the post. Do mention if you would like me to give more takes. Thanks for your time. 😛

Awesome take, covered up most of the points I was thinking of!! :)

1. That was UNBELIEVABLE. In the shoes of the restaurant manager, what if this customer was lying? This guy probably doesn't even know if Anu actually has cancer or not. Are you kidding me? I found that super ridiculous.

2. Love love love Aarav and Ram. So cute <3 Aarav is by far the cutest guy kid on TV, so adorablee!!

3. That's another thing that really pissed me off. What sort of a landlord lets their tenants live in a house that they DON'T PAY RENT FOR?! And at the end when he says, if he doesn't pay it soon then he can find himself another house, like happy late realization. He's planning on sending them out of the house after they don't pay their rent for 4 MONTHS? I thought these days if you don't pay rent for even a month, you could find yourself a new house. We're talking about 4 here!

4. I actually think that as a doctor, he should be there for a patient when they need it. Ram explained briefly to the doctor that Anu is a cancer patient who has fallen unconscious, and it's been like the 2nd or 3rd time this whole trip? The doctor didn't even bother a bit, and was reading some dumb probably teenage aged magazine? He didn't seem to be having patients during that time, he was reading some magazine. Being a doctor is a very unpredictable job, you can get called at any time any day for the sake of someone's life. That's the point of being a doctor. I found this scene extremely ridiculous, and hence I sort of disagree with you on this point.

5. Here, I agree 100%. Ram should buckle up, start thinking about the two children he has who are probably going to suffer horribly if he continues to spend his money in careless ways. I think his wife wouldn't want to die knowing that her family are going to break down into pieces mentally and financially, and probably will struggle even having a shelter.

6. Lastly, Aarav is maximum 5-6 years old. It's understandable to not tell him straight up that his mom is dying. But the kids, at this point, are probably really curious as to what the hell is happening to their mom! At least, Disha should know. It's going to be way to big for her to handle, but I think she should know what's happening. I think she would want to know what's going on, rather than watching her mom faint every few days and wonder what's happening.

Great post Molina.. As I said couple of times already, somehow the rent issue doesn't ring right for me.. The family didn't look so poor to me, I can undertand they not having savings, but not able to manage the regular expense? Not adding up at all..
I lost patience by the time the doctor scene came up.. But knowing Ram's love for Anu and also his recklessness, i am not surprised with his behaviour ;). I only wonder what is the need of such drama, don't we have enough already?

I had been telling form the very beginning about them not informing the kids about Anu's sickness,.. But, a friend of mine (who is a mother) says she too wouldn't want her kid to know (probably until hospitalisation) if she is in similar condiiton.. Hmmm.. I don't know, but I do think kids should be told.

Really wish they (makers) get thier act togther now..

Yeah even I think it's high time that they're hiding it from the kids. They must be told, whatsoever. Otherwise, the maturity with which Disha seems to handle all situation often makes me ponder upon the fact that she might already know about it and is just pretending that she doesn't.
And yes, the makers need to focus now. 😊
