My Take
Overall, I find the show moving more towards pointlessness and absurdity. Disha, showed a lot of maturity today, in the whole episode.
Initially, when Disha did not want to leave Anu alone, it was very, very mature and she showed she was capable of good thinking. Ram told her, they shouldn't fight. Typical sibling rivalry, well crafted.
Ram - Anu talk was funny and cute. It is nice how Anu is able to talk about her death in the manner she does, and Ram does not jump up in shock every time she does so. The talk about marrying someone else here, is probably an indication to what is to come, or it is just idle talk. Trust me; such idle talks happen all the time between couples. If they show it in that spirit, I am damn pleased.
In the evening, everyone is getting ready for dinner. Anu starts puking blood. The scene in the washroom when Anu cries is heart wrenching. I somehow really loved it, despite there being no dialogues at all. It showed us that she doesn't have much time left, and it also brought out Anu's desperation very well. No one wants to die right? Some of us face it bravely, others not so brave. But ultimately, no one wants to die.
But, she hides it from them, not wanting to create a scene there. At the restaurant, when Ram proposes to her again, Anu's face doesn't show happiness at all. She is worried, upset, more than anything, grieved that she is dying. Disha's character has been well placed today. She looking at the menu and saying dal is 500 bucks, it is too expensive, is very natural and well executed. Usually, TV shows show teenagers as people not bothering about anything and very immature but it is not so. They are not always like that. This was a perfect example.
Ram hosting the party for everyone is utter NONSENSE! He has no money at all! I perfectly agree, he wanted to celebrate her birthday where he proposed and all. But, hosting it for everyone there is plain stupid!
Here too, Anu and Disha come forward and expressed their concern over the matter. RAM CARELESSLY BRUSHED IT OFF. IT ISN'T EVEN LOGICAL!
I understand creative liberties can be taken but not to such an absurd extent. Ram drinks a little too much. He must be more responsible. What if Anu is taken ill suddenly? In his inebriated state, how will Disha manage alone?
I liked the indications between Disha and Ram to take Anu home. Cover up. xD
How can Ram say I'll wash utensils? How does he think the hotel will earn its money? Such huge hotels, have fixed labour whom they pay monthly not daily. So, supposing, Ram does wash utensils worth 40 K, the restaurant doesn't earn anything since they will still have to pay their workers for that day. Basic economics and financing. TV shows should do something about this concept of all emotions no sense they have.
Obviously, they will hit him and call the police and he explains his dilemma, his grievances to them, saying and convincing them he was helpless since he loves his wife. Odds, are they will take pity on him and leave him. It is a serial. But, honestly, such things don't work in real life. Understandably, you have a wife who is dying. No one else is responsible for that. People may express their sympathy, but beyond that, they won't do anything. They can't be expected to do anything! The restaurant did not plant cancerous cells in Anu's blood! They can't do anything.
Regarding Kapoor, I really like that track actually, much more than what they are showing here. That has slightly better logic. It showed he still loved his daughter and he is hurt at what she did. Poor guy.
That is it. Hopefully, today's faux pas won't be repeated. xD
Love
Naj
