IB and DBO merger pros and cons

seen several post on this Forum about DBO merger with IB which was anyways going to happen sooner or latter, as they started DBO,
I am not happy with this merger as now I have to watch an hour long episode just to get few glimpse of Shrenu and rikara the reason why am watching this show. But some where deep down I am happy about the same as many of us know IB is more popular than DBO also the trp is good which is a good sign for our favorites to be a part of a hit show, they are earning good getting fame that's all, actor want from their profession. We all know this TV world is full of cut throat competition actor struggle a lot to get settled here I can name you many such tv actor who were like one show wonder we should feel happy as the leads of our show are getting good ex poser.

kunal acted in 2 show prior to IB but people hardly recognized him, he got huge fame right after IB only I even I got to know about him after IB only. other shows were equally important for him as he got to be known as actor but Ib made him star .

leenesh acted in Suhani as a side,hardly got any ss Its IB which made him a star.

Shrenu most experienced among all acted in some 4 show as lead only leaving gulaal but still after IPK ended we waited for almost 2 years to see her back on screen, if it had been so easy than she would have got next project easily but look she too had limited options .

all I want to say that we should feel happy that DBO is going to merge with IB which will surely help our favorites in many context😆

About the merger ... I strongly feel that IB and DBO are two strong individual shows ... About IB being more popular ... DBO was conceived because of OmRu's popularity and considering IB better can done the way the makers have pampered the parent show ... I am not talking ill about IB or anything related to it ... But DBO was not treated and executed fair after a point ... I can agree about how showbiz can be competitive and how actors have managed to earn money and popularity ... But for that talent, timing and luck needs to exist ... I was in high school when kunal did the previous show and I swear not me but many of my friends were gaga on him ... He was a teenage sensation ... About leenesh ... Its his hard work that he bagged the role of Rudra with star and four lions after doing something like a side and even leaving it ... The channel did not let Lee leave the show or them ... About shrenu ... Out of all the leading ladies ... She is the most popular, experienced and so audience engaging ... She is a reason many people wanted and watched DBO ... About TRP's ... DBO enlightened a dead slot of 10:30 with an EK show in competition ... I had anticipated this merger and was quite okay with it but the way this people have treated DBO and now rushing it in the parent show is quite frustrating ... About screen space GK herself spoke about how Obros are going to bring good rating ... The cvs need to be truthful to themselves and the audience about their concept of three different lives and so leads ... No one can be more or less better ... All of them compliment each other ...This is my point of view !

i agree with ur post.. as once we lose an actor onscreen it takes a lot of time to see them back again on tv and that too in a good script..

but i would like to mention a point over here IB and DBO are not merged because DBO has less trp or IB has more trp..

infact if u compare IB and DBO DBO is lot better than all other shows which were telecasted at that slot of 10:30.. experimental shows like tamannah could not gain trp at that slot which DBO could do..

DBO was purely launched as the 22 min time of IB was not enough to tell the stories of 3 bros along with their love stories and villians plotting. so that was why omru were lost in IB and the focus was only on shivika. and during that phase many omru fans left the show.

since the people loved and requested to omru story too the channel and ph planned for a spin off.. which is doing really well.. they thought that people would watch both IB for family story and DBO for omru story but people started to watch only their fav show like who loved shivika watched only IB and who loved omru watched only DBO..

the trp which has to add up has been divided between the two which was clearly evident from the trp of the mahasangam where people watched the whole 1 hr for their fav and even drama..

now the ph and channel realised that the show has the capacity to enter top 5 with an hour timing and thats why they have merged..

if there is a one hour slot the story can be told and even the trp will be high and the channel viewership will also be high.. so you can infact say that the merger is purely a business oriented step..

one thing we need to be proud of DBO and IB is that it could manage such a huge fandom that to satisfy them the channel has given 1 hour time in prime time slot which is probably the rarest thing on tv..

i would like to quote one example naagin in colors always topped trp though people criticise it for bad plot sometimes as it was one hour show.. that was one of the major advantage,..
