I don't mind if Dada stays at this stage. He is certainly an uplifter of spirit for the contestants, and may even provide some comic relief like you said. He has also stop picking excessively on people and wasting time. But the damage is already done. He has made some wrong decisions already such as throwing out contestants like Max-Manik and Rahul-Roza unnecessarily and also wasting the veto power, which led to the ousting of Prithvi-Vivek๐Ÿ˜ญ So, for now, he's alright. But in future seasons, I wouldn't like him to take decisions about who is eliminated and who isn't, because he makes no sense at all.

It's time for a change... I agree that someone who's more talented, calibred and a dancing guru has to be a grandmaster.... What a lousy Grandmaster Zee TV has ever introduced...

OK, I think it is one thing to criticize Mithun Da for their judging skills and another for mocking his dancing skills. And why judge him on the basis of that one dance? Sure that was a big thing in the 80's, and still is, and of course that revolutionized disco dancing in the 80's, but there much more to Mithun Da's dances than that. Do remember that he was raised in a very poor and humble background, and therefore he did not have any opportunity to attain dance classes and there were no platforms such as these back then. So, he has done very well for someone of his stature, and I doubt that you can get to even 1/10000th of what he has obtained, despite such hurdles.

Some of his dances:

PS: For some reason, the 2nd song I posted is not working ๐Ÿ˜•

I would also like to add some more.
I dont think mithunda is here as GM just for the purpose of dance and tecnicalities. He is there as an example to all the contestants struggliing against different hurdles, of how perseverence and talent can get u to heights. Also being a prolific and fine actor he does spot out talents. maybe he doesnt use technical terms much or maybe he dramatizes stuff, but lets say the jodis he made cornalli and vikku-nikku. do they look like the work of someone without any knowledge. and why cornell with sonali and vikku with nikku and not some other standby contestants? his lucky guess? i didnt follow DID1 much, but i will give examples from DID2, he kept amrita as standby when geeta made the mistake of not choosing her, if he hadn't kept her as standby, DID would have lost a versatile and extremely talented dancer and later skipper.
in the first day of little masters show, sandeep and farah said papiya was not that good, in comparison to others, he pointed out how graceful she is and immediately after her solo, farah and sandeep said the same. yes he picks on people, yes he does a lot of drama , but who knows, maybe thats his idea of easing the tension of the show, afterall the contestants are in constant pressure to perform and deliver their best .
I actuallz dont mind him here, and i would like to see him there in his seat.

Partly it is true that he should not be making elimination decisions in the beginning of the show. But wait a second, do we know this for sure? I have a strong feeling that it is not solely his decision. There is a good chance that the director/producer/mithun da all together make a smart decision. So, blaming him on that is not fair for me.
It would be nice to have a grandmaster who is a well known choreographer or someone who has good knowledge in dance. But the issue in this case would be that after a while we will say that this "grandmaster" is biased for Geeta/Marzi/Rajeev's team. I know this is gonna happen because we the public has our favorites and none of us like it when our favorites get eliminated. So in a way it is okay to have mithun da. I think the older generations like to see him on the show and he is more like a caretaker for everyone than someone who is judging the contestants. He tries to give strength to contestants and boosts them till the end. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Honestly, even if dada knows nothing about dance, someone experienced like him should always stay to boost up the spirit of contestants.

Sometimes jo philosophy woh jaadte hain leaves me dumbfounded :) he might not be a technical dancer but is a great support ๐Ÿ˜‰ plus i believe the concept of DID was his idea ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Jai Bajrang Bali.
He is one of the founding team I believe.
He does have a heart.
But the audience want some Younger Contemporary Choreographers to make decisions n expert comments. Someone to highlight matters rather than just a salute.
He may need to revise his approach if he wants to continue and bring the show to a new level.
He has done well to rope in Rajeev n Marzi for technicalities too.
