Whatever you have said about Rajat as an actor is 100% true. π He is talented, hardworking kid and has brightest future compare to any of his contemporiers..
But I can't agree on other things.. it's obvious that you are diehard RT fan and that's why you are looking at Indian TV scenario from this angle.. π but believe me it's really not like that.
Historical serials getting popular on Indian TV has nothing to do with RT's rise. Because history, mythology, costume dramas are all time favourite subjects of indian people.
B. R Chopra's Mahabharat and Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan used to hold entire India to standstill... roads used to be vacant while these 2 shows were on air. It was almost like a curfew situation.. I am talking about 1988... Rajat wasn't even born then.. π³ All the stars from these 2 shows were worshiped like God in those days. People used to actually perform pooja to their photos.. There was news of one that one lady got married to photo of an actor who played Karan in Mahabharat, actor was Pankaj Dheer. π Each and every Indian household was hooked to these 2 shows, from small kids to grandparents.
Sanjay Khan's Tipu Sultan and The Great Marathas were hugely popular, There were many other historical, mythological tv shows also from different production houses. Whateve NDTV is showing now, in Chhutti Time for kids, were old serials which were hugely popular.
I can only say that in those days media was not so powerful and wide spread like today.. no internet, no youtube to upload vids, or no public forums to discuss those shows for 24 hours. but today, because of hundreds of news channels, internet, even smallest thing gets too much attention and appears to be really big.
Whatever we are getting today on indian tv is what you guys called as recycled.. π
BTW.. I am really proud to be RT fan..just because he is a fine actor.. not because he has changed anything or brought revolution or something like that.. π
As an individual, he deserves everything he has achieved so far.. and many more to come. π .. I wish him best of everything.. kiddo deserves every bit of his success. π
living for...π³π³π³
