My dearest Nikhila,

I am very, very pleased about this, though I would not have called Jalandhar a negative character, only a tragic one. But he could obviously not have been fitted into the male lead category, so it had to be this. I am happier than if he had won it for Mahadev, for Jalandhar was a far more complex and demanding role.

It was when I watched the depressingly flat Andhak that I realised the vital importance of having Mohit play Jalandhar. If he had done Andhak, I am sure that track would have been vastly improved.
