CHAPTER 5

"I will go tonight." She said in a promising tone. Jaya smiled at her and hugged her tight in excitement. "Come on let me get you ready for tonight." Jaya said excitedly. Before Nandani could protest, she took her hand and ran here and there in her room looking for something, in her chests placed in the corners of the room to give a delicate and decent shape to the room.

Nandani wanted to protest but she terminated her struggle when she saw her excited and happy face, pleasure was pouring out of her eyes. She silently sat beside her staring at her. Jaya was desperately finding something, throwing thing everywhere making her room a mess. Suddenly, she paused for a second, a beam of light sparkled in her eyes, she turned towards Nandani, who was looking at her face getting amused by her actions.

She took a beautiful green choli with beautiful embroidery on it. "Wear this tonight and let your charm strangle his heart" she said excitedly. Nandani smiled a bit and stood up saying.

"Jaya, I don't want to strangle his heart or anyone else's nor do I want him to love me, I am going tonight to get some answers from him, I don't know why but something about him seems familiar like I have met him before. Whenever his thought comes to me, a sight of two children playing with each, holding hands, comes to me, I don't know why but I think he knows something I want to know, something father never tells me about those mysterious dreams".

"And you know me I don't like to get dressed up and flaunt my beauty to others. I will wear what I am wearing." She said smiling at her. Jaya looked at her delicate appearance and smiled a bit. Jaya stood up.

"Come on Nandi, Just a little bit, at least wear these ear rings father gifted you. Wear these and you will look more radiant than the moon." She said smiling at her. She placed the ear rings on her ear and opened her braid, combed her hairs, straight as vermicelli and smooth as silk. She fixed kajal on her eyes, deepen it a little giving it a carvy end, making her intoxicating eyes, prominent and seducing. After sometime of chit chat, Nandani realized it was getting dark she promised Jaya to meet her at the edge of the village late night and headed towards home.

I wrote your name in the sky

but wind blew it away

and forever it will stay

Uday was sitting on a rock by the waterfall leaning on a rocky wall. He closed his eyes to feel the heavenly light of moon. Suddenly, he heard sound of bells more like a sound of payal wore by a women. He smiled unconsciously; it felt like the bells were ringing in his heart soothing his soul, he never opened the eyes. As the sound became louder and louder, heartbeat of the prince was increasing, he was feeling like he is on the seven sky of pleasure. Suddenly, the bells stopped, Uday skipped a beat, he opened his eyes slowly and fell in love with the sight, he stared at the beautiful lady standing in front of him, wearing a white choli with pink blouse covered by a decent and delicate crape white chunni. Her intoxicating eyes were killing his soul apart making him crazy like hell and her angelic smile was making his life worth living.

Nandani was looking here and there trying to avoid his gaze, Uday's gaze was making her nervous. Uday felt her nervousness and smirked a bit. He came closer.

Uday(smirking): So princess, you came AT LAST(stressed), I knew you couldn't resist my charm...(smiling).

It was so sudden for Nandani as she was staring at Uday's sparkling ocean blue charming eyes. Nandani noticed a smile in his sparkling eyes along with a teasing smirk leaning on his lips. His enchanting smirk which irritates and enchants her at the same time.

"I am not here for you, STRANGER, get that in your head" she said irritatedly.

"Then, are you here on a vacation in the midst of night, all alone in a forbidden forest." He replied innocently, putting his usual smirk on his face.

He came closer and tucked some strands of her hair behind her ears, touching her cheek. Nandani was shocked at his gesture; she couldn't even sum up herself when she found him touching her cheek. She jerked back and stared at him with a rigid and furious face.

"Uday..." She yelled but got interrupted in between.

"Aww princess... It feels so complete hearing my name from your sweet voice." He said smirking.

Nandani could kill him if she could. " Youuu... arggh"She said feeling helpless and irritated, stared for bit and turned away to head for home as she knew talking to him is as bumping your head on a stone.

Before she could move further, Uday grabbed her and twirled her hitting across his chest in a sudden jerk. Her hair clashed with his neck, brushing off his neck smoothly. Under the romantic light of half-moon, near the cold water of waterfall, splashing drops on their feet, both stood close to each other. Uday placed his hands on waist tightly and pulled her closer.

Nandani heated with anger, she dug her nails on his arms, scratched harshly giving him deep scars and forced him to lighten his grip but all in vain. Uday's smirk grew deeper at her every action like he was getting amused by her struggles. She was moving like a fish out of water in his embrace. Uday placed his face on her shoulder and whispered lightly "Your struggles make me strangle you even harder." Nandani can sense his evil smirk as she calls it and depth of his words by his serious tone. She lightly brushed her hand on his arm. Uday was astonished by her sudden change of gesture and lighten his grip around her waist to feel her touch, closing his eyes.

Nandani turned around with a sudden jerk and grabbed the dagger out of his waist and placed it around his neck and moved her face close with anger expressions decorated on her face and whispered emphasizing each word " And ... I .. just ... hate ... this ... AWFUL , EVIL AND DISGUSTING ..smirk.. of yours.."

Uday smirk grew tighter and whispered back pulling her closer, placing his hands on her bare waist" It's an extreme pleasure to hear praises from such a gorgeous lady". Nandani couldn't believe her ears. She stared at him like he was deaf or something. She fumed with anger and pressed the dagger forcefully across her neck. Uday moaned fakely and smirked saying "Princess , if you wish to kill me, just smile , I will die by just looking at your killer smile.

Vijay was fascinated by the scene in front of his eyes. He can see desperate love and devotion in uday's eyes. Suddenly, he felt gesture in the bushes near the trees opposite the waterfall; he suspected some kind of danger and moved towards the bushes to investigate the circumstances.

Jaya was stunned to see a charming and handsome man standing next to Nandani, she never imagined Nandani's admirer to be this attractive. Many people in the village were always attracted by Nandani's beauty but her rude behavior and offensive reply turned them away.

Jaya was enchanted by the charming person but she can clearly feel his love for her best friend, a keen desire of such a lover for herself came across her mind but she turned it away as silently and deprived as it came. She wished happiness for both of them and turned away.

Vijay sneaked up on the person spying on the prince said aloud "Who are you and what are you doing here?" Jaya turned around instantly and screamed unconsciously watching a sword across his neck, Vijay placed his hand on her mouth to prevent screaming. Jaya was stunned; she couldn't understand what was happening to her. "Why are you screaming?" He yelled at her irritatedly. Tears were collecting in her eyes ready to pour out any moment. Soon, she was sobbing. Vijay couldn't understand the innocent girl next to him. "Why are you crying" He asked softly, lifting her chin up. She gave him a look of reproach. He saw innocence in her ocean deep black eyes; he wiped her tears and hugged her.

Moon was shining bright with its esteem shine and grace making the sight perfect for the two couples near the waterfall spreading love and attraction in the air.

Nandani moved his hands from her waist. "Why doesn't it get in your head that I won't get impressed by your silly tricks? Stop applying them on me." She said getting tired of him.

"I won't apply them on you, because you have already fallen for me, I can see it your eyes,...(in a close eye contact). My touch makes you shiver...(Nandani breaks the contact)" He said staring at her. Nandani blushes a bit but suddenly she sense something, she turns around and grabs an arrow, shoot towards Uday. Uday could hardly understand the situation. He was shocked at her abilities and sudden attack at him, he couldn't understand which thing should shock him more. She held his hand firmly and ran towards the forest.

Vijay comes out of the bushes and attack the person who attacked the prince. He shoot an arrow towards the person, firmly and confidently with rigid and furious expression. The aim was perfect, the person died and fell from the hill into the river along the waterfall.

Vijay saw some other people in black covered their faces with a veil, ran towards the weaponless prince. He told Jaya to stay here hidden behind the bushes without making any sound and ran towards them.

Nandani took him running, more of dragging, away from the waterfall ,not knowing where she was going , what she was going , she just wanted to run away from everything. Uday was staring at her mad and insane side, once again he was stunned to see her newself. Suddenly she stopped, as she saw a dead end behind her, she saw down from the hill, it was deep and they were on a great height. Nandani ran towards opposite direction but they were surrounded. Nandani threatened them but they came forward to attack them.

"Can you swim?" He asked Nandani, looking for an answer impatiently.

"Ofcourse, I can swim if life depends on it." She said confused. She didn't knew what he was upto.

Uday took her into her arms and threw her from the height into the water. She was dipping in the water falling from such a height, she could control herself. Before Uday could jump off the hill, they attacked him, a man blew a shoot of his sword piercing Uday's young flesh, Uday grabbed his arms tightly to prevent any blood from flowing out. Another person attacked his chest pieing his chest, Uday jerked back instantly but the attack was faster than his move. Another person attacked Uday but was blocked by Vijay. Vijay jumped in the battle field and started fighting.

Uday was bleeding hard, loss of blood was making him dizzy and was stepping backward, eventually fell in the river. The flow of the water was harder than he expected, he forced open his eyes, only for the love of his life. His eyes was searching Nandani whom she saw struggling to survive in the water. He rushed towards her, tried to force her out of the water but the pain was too much for him. He had lost a lot of blood, his shirt filled with blood and so was the water.

He grabbed her and placed her around his shoulder and moved out of the water. Both fell unconscious, after a moment Nandani woke up coughing and choking, she calmed herself as water came out of her mouth. She looked around to monitor the situation when she saw Uday wounded; blood was flowing from his body. She went in a shock, patting his face she cried aloud.

She snatched her chunni forcefully, tore it into pieces, opened his blooded shirt and tightly binded her a piece of chunni across her chest of prevent the blood from flowing. She did the same for the arm, she tucked his hair from his face and patted it to like crazy.

"Uday .. uday .. wake up ... look at me its your princess... look at me ... Look at me uday (loudly)... You can't leave me like this, you just can't ... be.. beacause( voice shrieking) I love you damn it." she shouted madly placing hands on her face with his face on her lap.

"You can't leave me like... I ll die... i am in love your smile, your eyes, your touch, your teasing, your crazy smirk(tracing his lips).."Tearing were pouring out of her eyes. "I won't let you die... You can't... you just can't ..." She said crying like crazy.

PRECAP: "Nandani ... Nandani.." He whispered bearing loud enough for her to hear... She skipped a beat.
