CHAPTER 2
PART 1
Uday left and Manyata just sat there and thought to herself
Manyata: Main tumhe kaise batau Uday. Tum jitna samajh rahe ho yeh utna simple nahi hai. Tumhe kya lagata hai ki mere liye aasaan hai yeh sab. Tumse alag rehna aur tumhe ragini ke sath dekhna.
Her trance breaks when there is a knock at the door.
Ragini gets it.
It was the dress Uday had sent her.
Ragini says keeping the dress on herself and checking herself out in the mirror.
Ragini: Wow this is so beautiful.
She turns towards Manyata and says
Ragini: Dekh na. Sundar hai na.
Manyata: Bahut sundar hai.
Ragini: Waise Uday ki choice to manni padegi.
Manyata: Woh to hai hi. Uski choice tu jo hai.
Ragini laughs at this.
Ragini: Chal ab ja tu bhi tayaar ho ja.
Manyata: Waise yeh Vikram hai kaun.
Ragiini: Arre Uday ka bachpan ka friend hai. Remember jab hum summer holidays mein LA jaya karte the. Uday aur mere cousins se milne. Woh wahi pe rehta tha. I thought Uday ne tujhe bataya hoga.
Manyata: Haan I remember usne bataya toh hai do teen baar par maine kabhi itna dhyaan se suna nahi
Reagini: Kyu
How can Manyata answer that question. How can she tell her that it was because she used to be too busy noticing how Uday acted and all of those actions that he did, that she never noticed what he was actually talking about.
Manyata: Arre aise hi. Boring lagta tha mujhe. Chal ab main jaake tayaar ho jati hun.
Manyata goes and dresses herself.
RAGINI'S DRESS
MANYATA'S DRESS
Uday comes and calls out to them.
Uday: Ladies we are late. Jaldi karo.
Ragini comes from her room and Manyata comes descending the staircase.
Uday is completely charmed by Manyata. He knows he cannot take his eyes off her but with a loot of struggle he looks at Ragini.
As she comes near him he takes her hand and pushes her towards himself.
Uday: You look breathtaking. Main soch raha hun lets ditch the party and do something else.
Ragini hits him on his chest and says
Ragini: Uday, stop.
Manyata knew this was all happening to make her feel jealous which for the record she was but trying to cut the crap short she said
Manyata: Tum logo ka ho gaya ho toh hum chale.
Ragini: Ohho Manyata tu kitni unromantic ho gayi hai. Lagta hai aaj party mein tere liye bhi dhundna padega.
Manyata holds Ragini by the arm and drags her out of the house with Uday preceeding them.
At the party both the ladies enter on each side of Uday.
Just as they enter the party Uday and ragini gel up with all of their friends and Manyata is left alone.
She decides to go and sit by the bar.
On the other side Vikaram meets Uday and Ragini.
Vikram: Ohho finally tune fasa hi lia Uday ko. Mujhe toh laga tha ki yeh sari zindaagi bachelor hi rahega.
They laugh at this.
Vikram: Ab aapko aitraaz na ho toh main Uday ko apne sath le jana chahunga.
Ragini: of course.
Vikram takes Uday to the bar and gets both of them a drink.
Vikram points at Manyata and says
Vikram: Yeh tere aur Ragini ke sath aayi hai na. Kaun hai yeh?
Uday: Manyata
Vikram: Woh Manyata. you all are still friends. Mujhe toh laga tha ki tune ragini se shadi ke liye haan ki matlab tum ab friends nahi hoge. I remember tu har time bas isi ki hi baat karta rehta tha. Waise now I can understand why.
Uday: Don't even think of it Vikram
Vikram: Why not? Tu toh ab kuch karega nahi. Mujhe toh try marne de.
He winks at Uday and move towards Manyata.
Vikram: Hi
Manyata: Hi
Vikram: I'm Vikram
And forwards his hand.
Manyata shakes it and says
Manyata: Oh so you're Vikram. I've heard a lot about you.
Vikram: All good things I hope.
Manyata smiles.
Vikram: Even I've heard a lot about you from Uday. And before you ask they are all good things.
After a pause.
Vikram: So you wanna dance.
Manyata sees Uday looking at them and in a fit to make him jealous and make him feel the way she did she says yes.
They go on the dance floor and share a close dance.
Uday too takes Ragini to the dance stage.
There's an internal fight going on between Uday and Manyata.
The partners spin and its Uday and Manyata together now.
They are looking directly at each others eyes.
uday moves his finger on Manyata's back and turns her around and she lands in Vikram's arms.
She recovers from the dance and gets up.
Guys this is not the end of this chapter. I wanted to make this long but you know how lazy I am😆. So I'll just update the next part of this chapter within a day or two.
Also I'll send the PMs once both the parts are updated.
