There's a billion sentences in my mind regarding to this, which I'm not gonna type out😆
But is Terrorism helpful?

After a T attack, security is expected to get stronger = new technology...
T's use more advanced technology to overcome security, and do another T Attack, which causes security to get stronger...
technology using in T and security, can actually be beneficial to our everyday lives... new inventions and stuff...
There is no advance if their is no cause to advance...
so making Terrorism a trigger to advance technology around the world...

Some things were limited that only certain people can use to protect community, which later become and everyday object to many of us...

so
is Terrorism actually helpful?

Future Bin Laden! 😆 😆 😆

I read a quote, 'you can't say civilizations don't advance. In every war, they find a new way to kill you'.

YOu are right about technology advancing... benefits us in lot of ways. Whatever gets built for defense does get used comercially, and hence many of the comforts of today. But we have to find a balance somewhere. We are putting cost on lives here. NO way should we look at terrorism in positive light; terrorists are misguided souls, and the fear they create will be the death of us than weapons we create for countering those fears.

Yes, technological advancement helps us!
Terrorism on the other hand does not!
The world terrorism in itself doesn't ring up any positive effects anywhere!
Yes, we have become more severe about security now but I don't know if taking so many lifes should have been the only way to trigger our security system!
The fact that we are looking for more security also spells that we are more unsafe in today's world! I don't know if I am too happy about that!
But I totally get your point!

More security creates more jobs and better economy. Do we really need that kind of economy indirectly supported by terrorism act? People were enjoying more when there was minimal terrorism activities and less security. I used to go inside the airport to say bye to my friend. Now we cannot. Thanks to terrorism. If there is no need to spent money on security then do not that will give great freedom feeling to all the citizens of the world.

I dont know much about the positive take on the technology aspect of Terrorism lol...buh I for sure know that the nations with immense production of arms N ammunition are definitely getting benefited. I for sure know that thousands of people are getting killed and I for sure know that those who promote terrorism or actively participate in it usually dont have a point in doing so cus its all about money, power and politics. Those who are associated with these 3 words are benefited and the common innocent man gets butchered directly or indirectly in life. Im not sure we would wanna advance technologically this way at this cost or price...and for whom? Cus if this goes on...we will have a chunk of population wiped off the face of the globe and those who are left behind will remain in a state of grief n insecurity forever.

If the advances in technology is going to depend on and be directly proportional to the growth in terrorism, lol I dont know who will be left on this planet to admire what we have achieved 😕

Technology does not help in counter-terrorism. counter terrorism is mainly manual job, it was clearly demonstrated in 9/11, very limited work is done using technology. Films create a myth about technology and defense services

Heck they still use technology that is 10 year old for communications at key defense places.

Certainly terrorists can use technology improvisations bcos they are not stuck in bearacracies.

not up for debate on this topic for personal constraints

Plague is not as bad as the interrogation that the innocents have to face as a consequence 😡
