Should Terrorist be prosecuted? - Page 2

I saw many friends lose their families on 9/11 in the planes and the World Trade Centers. Does that mean they will become terrorists? And turning to terrorism is not a solution, it an excuse to kill people. Th kids in Iraq, if they do become terrorists, who will they kill, they can't find the exact people who killed their families, so will they go and kill innocent Americans who didn't do anything?

And if those 5 year-olds aren't put in special centers and taught what is wrong or right, they will grow up and kill innocent people. So yes, terrorists should be punished. But the age of the criminals should be mentioned.

My dear friend you are mistaken, since you have to understand the difference between rebels and terrorists. In the old period, we had rebels who fought against the king and his army. But in today's scenario the terrorists don't spare the innocent people.

cuty_a, I already told in my opening statement that this topic is not about any religion ...it is about terrorist.

Also, I didn't get your question. Why are muslims blamed for it? muslimes blamed for what? for terrorism? I think anyone who blame "muslim population" as a whole for terrorism they are just dumb. Just becuase handful of people who follow muslim religion are terrorist that does not give anyone right to blame whole muslim population.

I am not saying terrorists are good. People lost in life in sep 9/11 ans people lost life in Iraq war. What Osma did was wrong. I will never support that. What I am trying to say is you can't put every one in a same category. You are talking about counseling....it's a very western way of thinking. It's like Bush wanting to spread Democracy in Iraq. Every culture has a time for everything. You can't just Bomb Iraq and tell people, " ok you were living a bad life; women were suffering; this is not the way to live." you can't do that. If Osama was wrong in his decisions, we were worse by bombing that country.

what would you do if you were in Iraq? You see weird faces everywhere, taking your relativs without explaining anything to you. Your neighbours and parents are dead. You are told that the life you have lived was not worth while. Would you listen to foreign advice or you would go join a group with similar interests.

You say Would they kill Americans who didn't do anything? Well Iraq didn't do anything anyways. We bombed a wrong country. It's like if Canada attacks Europe and Europe decides to attack United States. Would you be pissed? Hell I would be!!!!! THis is what Iraq is going through right now. That kind of negative energy can't produce brave smart young men. you would only have destructive bodies.

How do we define Rebel? In Mugul era, for a Mugul king, Hindus were terrorists, but for a Hindu mother, their sons were rebels who were fighting for good cause- to save their culture and religion. When sikhs in 17th and 18th centuary fought against Muguls and before that with Hindu kings, they were considered Terrorists. But ask those sikhs mother, for them they were proud.

We consider Iraq a terror, but ask those people who live there. I have few friends from Iraq. They told me that the pics they were showing on Tv were from small towns. She was 15 when she came here. She used to go back to visit her family. She was shocked to see those pics. She showed me pics from Iraq. It looked like India. It's like how In American media they always show bad side of India. What if in future, they started showing that women are India are burned after marriage and they are forced to die with their husbands. All they need to do is make a video. Now is it true? Is all of India like this? Americans already have so many sterotypes against us and they will believe that BS. Every body knows that India had Nuclear power. Bush doesn't even need to get evidence. They can just attcak us by saying they have found that India is hiding osama, so we are with him, plus Video of Real India will do wonder.

You guys have to understand me. I am not saying that destructive activites are okay. But you can't punish them all. You have to get rid of the root cause. Why did Osama attack US. Why won't they attack India where in the name of religion, hindus and muslims kill each other. Why US? What had America done to them that they were that furious? By all means, Osama should get a death penalty for killing thousands of people. But do we have to be like him? If Osama killed few thousands, Bush has killed in 100, 000s.

I am not blaming muslims. It's not the religion, it's few people who are bad. Mugul era brought great things to India in a form of art, and music, but they also converted many people by force. If people didn't convert, people were given a brutal death. Hindus did the same thing to south Indians and Buddists.

Oh hell no I never voted for Bush! I know Bush attacked them for his personal reasons, but what I am saying is that terrorist should be punished, for whatever reason they became terrorists for. Bush did wrong, and now we can't let terrorists do wrong too, two wrongs don't make a right.

Bush was absolutely wrong, but if a few Iraqis decide to attack innocent Americans just because of what Bush did, should we allow that? It wasn;t our fault. We never supported Bush, but terrorists who hate America will assume this, especially since idiotic people voted for him again. The entire vicious cycle will start again.

We should have punished Al-Qaeda and Osama, but we never did, and now they are on the loose. That's why I think all terrorists should e punished.

No thank you I don't need a lesson. I am actually looking very deep into the matter, there is more to Bush attacking Iraq for personal reasons, there are selfish motives and illegal activites involved too.

Bush didn't exactly say religious, but that is what makes the most sense in why Al-Qaeda attacked America, and possibly even be responsible for London bombings.

What did we do to Al-Qaeda? Why do they hate us? They were planning 9/11 before Bush came into power. They claimed to do everything out of "Jihad"! They used their religion as an excuse for their brutality.
